Best footrest - worth the extra money
The SmartFit SoleMate Pro Elite Ergonomic Foot Rest (K50345EU) is the best footrest. The carpet surface is great, as it its functionality. But best of all is its width with the control between your feet. The allows you feet to be wide apart under the desk, which most other footrests do not. The closer your feet have to be because of the footrest, the more your crotch area gets scrunched up ... not nice on hot days! And not good for posture. You want you feet well planted, ideally fairly wide apart so you don't restrict blood flow and so your hips and knees are not being strained. When you think how many hours, days, months and years you spend working at your desk, the extra cost of protecting your posture and staying at optimal comfort is worth every penny. Really glad I went for this footrest. Highly recommended.

Broke after 6 months. 4 stars if it didn't break.
The foot rest was pretty good, up until it broke. At around 5 months of use, I heard it make a cracking noise. Over the following 6 weeks, I hard cracking noises more and more frequently and the middle begin to bend. As can be seen in the photo, it eventually caved in and completely broke.I work at a desk and probably spend a lot more time at it than the average person, something like 14 hours per day, every day. That being the case, the foot rest got a lot of use over this time.I'm not a particularly heavy person either, weighing around 80kg. I never placed my full body weight on the foot rest and was only used while seated. The most weight put on it was probably from pressing down a little harder, when repositioning in my chair. If it hadn't been so fragile, I would have probably rated it around 4 stars. The comfort was generally good but it had a tendency to easily slide around while on carpet, causing it to need repositioning regularly.

Wobbly and noisy
Wobbly piece of plastic that creeks and moves like crazy (even when "locked") whenever I move but one muscle in either foot. Do not buy unless you somehow find it on offer at 10$/£/€.

Good but not perfect
It's height and angle adjustable, which is good.It feels a bit weak and has too much flex in use, and it's too easy to unlock the angle adjust.Overall though, it's a good wide footrest which has improved the ergonomics of my workstation.

Overall a good product, although not exactly sturdy
PROs: very adaptable, ideal for a wider leg stance, anti slippery and comfy upper material.CONs: not very sturdy, there is a pin that keeps falling out and the components fall apart. But once you understand what to do and what not to do, you can use this device smoothly.
