Great product, durable construction, and loud
The media could not be loaded. The product definitely comes with very little wire to work with so there's not a whole lot of room for error. Make sure to purchase a nice roll of electrical wire so you can make the run from the car battery to wherever you decide to mount the alarm, and so you can make the run from the reverse light in the tail light to the device. The construction of the device is very durable. I've already gone through a bunch of mud and water and it has yet to be waterlogged. I work for mining companies as a contractor where the backup alarm is required period needless to say I'm very happy with the audio output.

Nice heavy duty backup alarm. I use these on heavy, oil field trucks. They install easily & have a nice loud tone.

Just dealing with it
Part of the housing cracked off durning shipping but it was not part of the mounting surface so instead of returning I just mounted it. It works alright. Packing sucks for such a brittle plastic casing!

Dead in 5 months !!!!!!
Had this installed on my 40 foot motorhome. It worked well consistently for 4 months, about the 5th month it only worked sporadically, until it failed and stopped working permanently. The seller claims that this is an industrail, heavy duty Commercial grade product but in my opinion it is not as it stopped working and is dead in less than 6 months.

Use DPDT switch, make sure you have a mounting spot for large unit
Good. Loud. Maybe too large for most vehicles or equipment. You'll want a DPDT double pole double throw switch if you want the dual function. The quieter beep is definitely appreciated at times

Great safety item
Needed a few of these to install on a couple of company trucks for on site safety purposes when backing. These are very loud, easy to install, but the durability lacks a bit. I had one fail after a few months. It turns out the epoxy potting on the rear of the unit separated from the plastic case allowing moisture ingress and eventual failure of the unit. I don't really consider this a manufacturing flaw, just had direct sunlight on the unit almost all day in the sumer months. I went around to the other units I installed and added some silicone to the joint between the epoxy potting and case and the units are still working like new.
