Humidor Humidifier Tubes, Crystal Humidity Tubes (3 CT)

This product does as advertised, keeping my humidor right around 70% RH. Keeps my cigars in perfect condition to smoke. Last a while too before refills. Obviously if I had more cigar or fewer humidifiers, I would have to refill more often, but these have last 3 months so far without a refill! Great product.

I've used the DryMistat humidifier tubes for several years. These are compact (the size of a corona size cigar) and are easy the refill. I'm glad I checked Amazon, because I had difficulty getting them from my regular source for cigars. I highly recommend these tubes.

So very much easier than recharging those awful little disks that came with my Humidor.I had let the maintenance lapse on a humidor full of low-end maduros (Sue me. I liked 'em) and the whole box was down to 48% humidity.Unless you like to see split cigars, you want to re-humidify them slowly. It's been about 2 months, and I've managed to bring them up to almost 65% with nary a split in sight. These tubes provide constant, predictable moisture, and are just now where they are needing a recharge. I have 4 Drymistat tubes in with about 250 sticks, which seems to be about perfect. I have a 5th Drymistat tube in with my pipe tobacco, and it seems to discharge faster due to contact with the tobacco. The tobacco stays borderline damp with this setup, so I may have to make a different arrangement to make it work better. I do know that you don't want loose tobacco touching the vented end of the tubes. It will leach moisture and gel out of the tubes.If I had these from the start, I probably wouldn't be having to recharge my cigars. I would have been so much easier to maintain.

If you haven't used these before, give them a try. Make sure you only use distilled water. I use them in my travel humidors. Yes, one will take up a precious slot for a cigar, but these units will not mold up, and won't become useless like the foam stuff when it gets fully loaded with the glycol component of the typical fluids. Pay attention to the fill line. It's there for a reason. The slightly sad aspect is the crystals will deteriorate over a period of time. That period for me is years. They will last longer if you don't leave them out to dry completely. The crystals don't come back fully. So take care of the stuff that takes care of your cigars. It's much cheaper and more effective in the long run vs. the fluids.

These are great if you have a larger humidor. Have to soak them frequently but they are better than those stupid sponges in the disks.

Convenient for keeping humidor humidified! My only issue is, the vented top (plastic top with holes in it) fell off in my travel Cigar Caddy, causing two cigars to get the crystals all over them. It wasn't shaken or anything - the top was just really loose fitting. I'm hoping the stogs are not ruined; thankfully, they were only $5 SLRs. Needless to say, that one tube got trashed. The other two seem to be fine.

I bought these for a variety of reasons with the obvious intentions of keeping my cigars fresh, which they do quite well. Initially I got them to keep in my travel humidor, which only holds about 15 sticks, 14 with one of these, or 12 with a Boliva packet. Once I realized that one of them was more than enough to keep the travel humidor at a perfect level I started using them in my bigger 50 stick humidor. Once again, they proved more than enough. I have not had to refill them yet, but am really looking forward to them being reusable, rather than buying several packets throughout the year. Do NOT hesitate to buy.

I have five humidors, both wood and clear acrylic and these work just fine for me. They maintain about 40 cigars in each one around 71%. I noticed more fluctuation in humidity when I first started using them in the acrylic humidors, but after adding some pieces of Spanish cedar in there they all stabilized and are working fine. Honestly, the wood humidors are a little more problematic to maintain, I guess because the wood breathes whereas the acrylic doesn’t. All-in-all, I would recommend these to anyone.
