Too wimpy for RV doors
I hoped these catches would prevent the drawers on my RV from opening while driving down bumpy roads, but sadly no. These 20lb catches are easily opened with a gentle pull of my pinky finger. Being a furniture maker, I was very careful to install the catches so the magnets were perfectly aligned with the mating metal plate.I replaced the 20lb catches with the 40lb version made by the same manufacturer. If you are looking for a stronger than average latch, I recommend going with the 40lb. The 20lb have just average holding power.

Cats hate them. I love them.
This was a great buy. After moving into my house I discovered that the laundry room (more like a nook) doors had nothing to secure them, and they would swing open constantly. Really not convenient, and they definitely got in the way, although my cats loved it. Well I wanted to keep the fur babies out of there, and when it got hot, the laundry room doesn't cool down with the rest of the house (I don't know if it's poorly insulated, a result of the vent opening for the dryer, or if it's just because there are no AC vents inside, but regardless, I don't need that heat pouring into the den and ruining my life). These magnetic latches were quick and easy to install and just the right amount of strength to keep the doors closed when they need to be closed. Much to the cats' chagrin, they can no longer hide behind the dryer, but I'm quite pleased with the arrangement.

Careful whether you need base-thickness
While these latches are nice & strong, check whether you need the flange at the bottom (thru which you screw) needs to be thicker than this, or not.The flange here is simply the thickness of sheet metal. This is in contrast to older plastic-framed latches, where the flange was quite thick. Your cabinets might be constructed such that the opening of the face frame of the cabinet is 1/8"+ smaller than the wood constituting the interior cabinet opening. The older plastic latches could be simply screwed into that interior opening and with the thickness of the flange, the magnets are able to clear the lip formed by the face frame. If you use these latches on a cabinet like that, you will need to "shim up" the base of the latch in order to clear the face frame of the cabinet.

Read This First!
These catches work great, BUT before installing put tape over the magnets, as they can fall out of the case very easily, and they are a booger to get back together! I have very, very hard cabinet doors and the screws that came with the catches went in without stripping. (Note: you want a good #1 Phillips screwdriver for installation, or they probably will strip) Once installed they work great...just the right amount of grab. I wished I had installed them years ago!

Solid, high quality magnetic latch
We bought a wooden freestanding cabinet from a major Home Goods store and one of the latches (made of cheap plastic) was broken. We tried gluing and it seemed to work for a bit, but it didn’t have a sturdy latch to close. Finally I found the JQK magnetic latch and this thing is AWESOME. It’s very sturdy, solid, the magnetic plate is slightly larger than our original (so I replaced with this) and we no longer have to worry about the doors accidentally swinging open again. They’re a very sleek, high end stainless and I would DEFINITELY recommend.

More than expected
My 14-year-old installed one on my french doors for the door that wasn't working and one on his desk to have the lift up keyboard drawer fixed with no instruction from me. My other teen remarked at how well the door was fixed before finding out her brother did it (she'd never have verbalized such a compliment. :) ) But seriously if the teen can figure out what it is, how to install it flawlessly and no effort. Thumbs up and problem solved. I'm sure I could have done it too, but great to know I didn't have to learn and teach because it's an easy quality product with a strong magnet.

Strong magnets! Great solution!
These are great for my old 1950s cabinets that don’t want to stay closed. The magnets are super strong, yet somehow they release comfortably when opening the doors. Very good quality. My only complaint is that I could really use some that can adjust to sticking out a bit further, but compared to the old ones I had, these do stick out further. That’s not at all a negative about the product, just an FYI, in case you need big depth in a magnet like I do. They do allow about half inch for the screw to adjust forward or back. If my cabinet doors weren’t old and warped, these would be the perfect solution, despite that, these are the best I’ve found so far, and I definitely do recommend these magnets and am very pleased with the purchase!

Works better than child-proof latches
One of my cats, Lucy, figured out how to defeat the child-proof latches. She opens the door slightly, then pushes the latch away from the catch, popping it out of joint. Mission accomplished, she then helps herself and friends to some kitty treats. I was trying to think of a way to use a super-magnet to keep the cabinet door shut. This magnetic door solved that problem. The magnet is too strong for Lucy to pull the door open. Now she doesn't even try to open the door.

These are amazing and perfect for heaven shutters
These are amazing and a great product. Replaced the white plastic versions on my California shutters that were breaking apart due to the sun exposure. Not only do these look great ( although I wish they showed the letters JQK like it appears In photos) they are exponentially stronger than the cheap white ones the builders first installed. For example we have shutters on patio doors leading to back deck. The cheap white ones weren’t strong enough to hold the shutter door closed and they would always swing open when you closed the patio doors. No way that’s going to happen with these JQK magnets. I’d highly recommend!!

Pretty Good, Some Design Flaws
These look good however have a couple of poor design choices. The screws are not made of magnetic metal so if installed off center a bit where it strikes the screw you lose strength. Also the front rails of the magnet are fixed and do not come in and out. If not installed perfectly, or if not made perfectly then one does not touch and you lose half your strength. Overall I would not buy these again.

Strong magnets
Very easy to install. Magnets are strong. Deffinitly not high grade stainless as they rust easily.

Ok
They’re ok, they work but they were so hard to install and it didn’t come with enough screws
