I ordered both this jump rope and the roughly $200 version at the same time. This one arrived first. I have used both and find that this very cost-effective version compares very well to the more costly version.

The media could not be loaded.  I haven't jumped rope since I was a little girl. I'm now learning to do it correctly for Crossfit. This weighted rope really helps "knowing" where the rope is as I'm working it. Measuring and being able to cut to adjust to my height is very easy to do.

They send it long enough for tall people but I'm short so I had to trim it which was very easy to do. Has a protective sleeve for where the rope hits the ground. Great bang for the buck. Seems smooth and jumping rope is a killer workout.

I had been searching for a bit for a weighted rope. I wanted the weight on the rope and not the handles. When I got it I thought is was light, but once you actually use it, you realize that it is not easy. It is great. I change between a light weight/regular rope and then to this one. I can do 100 in a row and then I have to stop. You will get a GREAT workout with this rope.

I had been looking for a weighted skipping rope and liked the look of the Gunguard USA , Its weight is eventhroughout, and the handles are non-slip rubber for sweaty hands, a nice bonus is the tip unscrews to shortenthe length of the rope . Also has additional tabs holding its length.Awesome purchase .

After the search for ropes that would work for me, as a beginner, I settled on this because of the reviews and because it was within a reasonable price range.I didn’t know what to expect but when I got my hands on it, I felt pure satisfaction, which was bolstered, exponentially, when I began using it.The weight helps me gain a greater sense of coordination, and I get such a great workout because of it.Finally, the company reached out to me after some days and asked about my experience with the jump rope set and offered to send a second set, which I accepted and promptly received. I’ve given that one to my life partner. We’re both happy with our products.

This is an awesome weighted jump rope!!! Great quality while offering tremendous value. There are other brands that charge a higher price but I'm glad I found this rope. I alternate between a regular light weight rope and "Big Red" when I do my jump rope workouts and regular calisthenics! I can tell you there is a noticeable difference. The rubber strip at the center is a terrific and ingenious feature that protects the rope from chaffing when it hits the ground. I use an outdoor mat so that's not an issue. But it's still a great feature to have.

I wanted to add some different, low cost, exercises to my morning workout and thought I'd give jump roping a try as I used to be very good at it in middle school. This REALLY fit the bill (especially now that I'm much older)! Jumping rope really pumps up your heart rate very quickly and works a lot of muscle groups. It's similar to doing wind sprints uphill and is a great thing to do if you are short of time. I'm glad that I got the heavier rope; it's a better workout and has a great feel of quality. The length was simple to adjust, and the rotation of the rope has been excellent so far.
