Benché non indicato sulle specifiche del prodotto, non funziona con tutte le compagnie telefoniche (nello specifico non va con Iliad, Ho e Kena). L'assistenza D-Link conferma in non funzionamento con le compagnie telefoniche minori e anziché attivarsi per trovare una soluzione, propone di cambiare compagnia telefonica… cosa abbastanza incredibile per un marchio di rilievo come D-Link

ottimo in tutto! Ho amato particolarmente la possibilità di interfacciarsi alle impostazioni come un vero router. Tra le cose più belle c'è che si può impostare che lo schermo lcd del dispositivo sia sempre accesso.Si potrà controllare cosi il livello di batteria, il segnale e gli utenti connessi senza dover premere nessun pulsante.Avevo acquistato un altro modello di router portatile ma niente a che vedere con questo: questo è di gran lunga migliore ed è costato poco di più. Infatti ho fatto il reso dell'altro perchè non capivo mai quando era accesso e dovevo sempre premere un pulsante per controllare il suo stato.Appena lo ricevete, montate la batteria aprendo lo sportellettto anteriore e appuntatevi (o fate una foto) ai codici che vedete sul retro dello sportelletto.Caricate il dispositivo col cavo USB in dotazione. Premete il pulsante di accensione laterale, vi darà il benvenuto. Adesso vi può capitare che vedrete la scritta di inserire il PIN: è il pin della vostra scheda sim (io ho vodafone, era inclusa nella linea di casa). Succede se non l'avete sbloccato.SBLOCCARE IL PINE ora? Niente panico. Prendete un pc e scrivere sul browser internet (dove ci sono gli URL non nella barra di ricerca google): 192.168.0.1. Vi dirà che la connessione non è protetta, procedete comunque col pulsante in basso a sinistra. Ed ecco che troverete la schermata di accesso alle impostazioni del dispositivo. inserite user: admin e pass: lasciare vuoto.Qui ora dovrete inserire il pin in dotazione della vostra sim card prima di procedere.Se non inserite il pin della scheda la connessione sarà "connesso senza internet" perchè la scheda sim risulterà bloccata.Una volta inserito il Pin potrete navigare.Per evitare che quando spegnete il router ricapiti andate in internet settings>PIN management e settate le opzioni su UNLOCK. il gioco è fatto. Qualsiasi dispositivo si potrà connettere, anche uno smartphone, e nessuno sarà costretto a inserire il PIN.Se vi piace smanettare un pò di più e personalizzare il vostro router leggete qui sotto 2 personalizzazioni che secondo me vanno assolutamente fatte...1. agite sulle impostazioni dello schermo e impostatelo sempre acceso.Per farlo andate su setting>advanced options>LCD Off e impostare 21600 secondi che equivale a 6h di schermo accesso sul dispositivo.2. cambiate la password e personalizzare il nome della rete (ESTREMAMENTE CONSIGLIATO).Per farlo andate su wifi setting. Qui si cambiano le password sia per la connessione normale che quellla 5G e si puo scegliere anche un nome per la rete diverso (SSID Name).Ogni volta che si cambia password si viene disconnessi e basterà riconnettersi come si fa con una semplice connessione wifi.Ecco tutto.Spero che questa recensione vi è stata utile, se è cosi per favore fate click sul pulsante sotto "Utile". Whatever else you do in life do not buy this product. There are not enough expletives in the dictionary, not just the English one, to describe what a load of rubbish it is. I have just been charged £40 plus for this and thrown it in the bin. Money well spent then! I do not intend to run the gauntlet of Covid 19 trying to send this back, it was for precisely this reason that I ordered it on Amazon in the first place. It is not recognised by any of my devices over WIFI, and I have many devices. I have factory reset it to no avail. The device administration interface is not accessible via any browser, I have loads! The reason for this is that the default password is not accepted, this being left blank. This is the worst of all situations because you could have changed it to something else through the admin page. Clearly this is not possible if there is no means of entering it in the first place. The quality of the device is like something that has been built by a Chimpanzee with minimal, if any, training. If I thought about if for long enough I could find fault with everything. I have another model of D-LINK router and two ethernet switches, with which I have had no trouble. If this had been my first experience with D-Link it would have been the last. When any of the other D-Link devices I have need replacing I will be switching to another brand. If a zero star rating had been an option I would have rated it accordingly. In fact a negative rating would have been better, something akin to the number of absolute zero would have been fitting.I am a qualified IT person and no of what I speak. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I have bought and installed several of these now for clients who have struggled to get reliable fixed line broadband services from the likes of BT or Virgin, and even carry one around with me as part of my mobile site kit as it outperforms the portable MiFi dongles in almost every way.For challenging locations it can be married to an external 3G/4G antenna and also used as a primary fixed line router (coupled with an ADSL or VDSL modem) with failover to 3G/4G should the fixed line go down.Ok, it doesn't have the comprehensive load balancing and routing settings something like a Vigor has, but it is significantly cheaper and much easier to setup, and is ideal as a SOHO router. For those that just want an easy to setup 4G solution, you just need to stick in a provisioned data SIM (contract or PAYG) switch it in and wait a couple of minutes until it's booted up and configured the link. You don't even NEED to login to change anything, it works right out of the box.Buyers should note there are 3 versions of this, with hardware codes A, B and C. Version C has the newest UI and is probably easier to setup than A or B versions for home use. Amazon only now appear to sell the C version but they may still be selling A or B in their outlet store.

I bought this router so we could use three unlimited sim and have 4G in our Static Caravan in Norfolk. With it attached to a Poynting 4G-XPOL-A0001 Cross Polarised 4G Omni LTE Antenna we are getting 25mb/s over wifi with coverage over the whole van.Set up was simple, as the three sim went straight in and worked. You need to go into the user interface to pick up the txt from three to activate but simplicity in itself.I dont need all the bells and whistles just let my phone/laptop connect up and watch Prime/Netflix/Sky Go and Iplayer which id does with no issues. Would strongly recommend .
