really great story
KD creates complex characters and wonderful story lines that kept me engaged until the last page and made me jump into the second book. Beautiful romance in a real world.

what just happened
I really try not to bonk reviews, but I bought this after reading a short story spun from these characters, and was disappointed in the pacing of the story and development of the characters--maybe I expected more of a connection to happen, since the short story was spunky, and the MCs seemed strongly defined in their relationship. I wasn't quite sure where the novel was going much of the time, and was unwilling to buy another book to determine how the context and tone of that short story actually came to be in terms of the longer versions. I've seen the other reviews that mention language, and while it doesn't typically bother me if used to underpin emotion, it seemed to be poured on like paint, which is a bit gratuitous. Lastly was the editing--I really expected much better based on the price and publisher. So, I really wanted to read it and like it, but , well....

Overall this is a good read if one can plow through the beginning
The book was a slow starter and it took some time to get into the story. Initially both main characters were not too likable. The plot did pick up and by the end I found myself wanting to buy the next installment. The character development was such that I now want to follow both the main and secondary characters developments. My one complaint is the same one I have for every single E-book I've purchased, the editing is atrocious. There is even one character whose name changes back and forth throughout the story. I don't understand why these companies don't care more about this. But I digress. Overall this is a good read if one can plow through the beginning.

The characters stole the spotlight!
KD Williams was able to create extremely unique characters that are rare to see in the "cop" genre of literature. Due to this, and this alone, the book is worth the read!Granted, the reader is introduced to the popular "tough/take no prisoners" woman cop, but she is counter balanced by an intelligent and acutely socially inept doctor. The two characters could not possibly be anymore on opposite sides of the spectrum; yet that is what draws the reader further into the story. Add that with overly jealous colleague who will go to great lengths to make other's lives miserable, and you have one "page-turner" of a story.Very well done!

Definitely Worth the Read
So I've been waiting for this book to release and I thought it was well worth the wait. The book or series rather follows hard ads with a heart cop Kelli McCabe and heartless naive surgeon Nora Whitmore. The chemistry between the two characters was great and the supporting characters added great depth to the two leads. I liked how despite the changes the main characters went through, it wasn't a complete 180 degree turn around. The pace happened realistically and I look forward to the next book in the series! Read it, it's worth it

Me
I love this lady author and I love her stories. So I bought this book. But this story has already been published at the Rizzoli & Isles Fanfic, except for the last chapter. I was telling myself that I've read this story already. At R&I Fanfic, it was published up to chap. 31, that's until after the trial. So, i paid $9.99 to just read the last chapter of this story. I thought that was unfair.Anyway, the story is very good. And as I have said, our dear author is a fantastic writer. Please don't stop writing cuz your stories are wonderful.

Another "lesbian" romance with more talk about straight sex than sex between the female leads...
Let me get this out of the way, Blurred Lines is a very well-written and constructed story about two people from different worlds (both in terms of background and personality) who find compassion, understanding and friendship in each other during difficult times in their lives. Unfortunately, the romance and sexual attraction between the two female protagonists is non-existent, despite the fact that the author does a good job portraying how both are drawn to each other in a very strong, tangible and unexpected way. Moreover, there are earlier and more references to straight sex in the book than about the two female leads being involved romantically. So not only does this book fall flat on my personal test of what makes a great romance "great", i.e. good romantic chemistry between the leads, but it also fails my "keep the 'lesbian' in lesbian romances" at the forefront of the story.

THIS IS CRAP
my 10 year old niece could write better than the person who scribbled this rubbish. Have to say really disappointed after the come on blub built this book up. If you want swearing on every page and totally unbelievable hospital situation in which a cop with gunshot wounds to her chest and thigh thinks nothing of baiting both the nurses and doctors then this rubbish will be right up your street. Personally I'll avoid any further drivel that this so called author publishes and will strongly advise anyone else to do so. Absolute rubbish.

An enjoyable read
I enjoyed this book the very first page. The chemistry between the main characters is spot on. As the start to a series, it introduces the characters well and sets backstory. The only thing that slightly annoyed me was the main characters asked each other if they were ok a lot. It's one of my pet peeves with lesfic, although I can see why it was done with these character personalities.Overall it was well written and the dialogue flowed naturally and the author allowed the characters to speak for themselves for the most part without suddenly trying to explain what they meant to the reader.Great read. I'll be reading more on the series.

I purchased this book early 2016 and gave it 5 stars. I found it to be a fantastic read. The characters blended well together and the story flowed. Sadly my kindle did an automatic version update recently and as turned a excellent book into something amateurish. Too many unnecessary sentences and character dialogue. .Kelli was cocksure arrogant and assertive in the first version now she is just vulgar and cringy. Nora was refined, elegant ,cultured, stoic and sophisticated and now she comes across as someone unsure and with a personality disorder. If you still have the original version please do not upgrade it. Someone should of reminded this Author if it isn't broke don't fix it. I also suspect that this version may have been her first draft and the publisher told her to cut the story back because it was repetitive. She should of definitely left it alone. sadly this is why I changed it from 5 stars to 3

Loved this to peices - bring on Crossed Lines
full stars from me. I am almost finished this book and have loved it from the very start. It is sweet, funny and the pacing is very good I was never bored or wanted to skip any pages. Kelli is incredibly patient and sweet to Nora, who holds everyone at arms length and is very hard to get close to because she is scared but finds Kelli irresistible at the same time. It is wonderful to see these two interacting during traumatic times in both their lives and it had me laughing and smiling a lot. Kelli is very funny and sweet to Nora and holds firm no matter what Nora throws at her. This is a slow burner story about two professional women who find each other, they are attracted to each other but they just don't know how to "get there" regardless of the ridiculous physical attraction that burns inside every time they are around each other. I love the style of writing that Williams gives here, it is humerus, witty and professional. And the physical expressions are written very well too, which gave the interactions much depth. I hope the second book is like this too.Very sweet story and I am about to finish this and dive right into the sequel - Crossed Lines.

Started well but...
I'm sorry to say I was disappointed by this. It started off well and the characters seemed interesting with some fun dialogue, but then it became very repetitive with no particular storyline. And I felt the ending was really drawn out. I'm sorry to be negative but considering the rather high price, it seems right to give another reader's opinion because I'd been influenced by the other very high ratings.
