What is the difference between this one and the one that cost less

The ones that cost less basically have regular broom bristles. This one has wire like bristles that penetrate into the surface of stone or cement when cleaning mold or moss off of them with Clorox or other cleaning products.

Can you clean a bathroom tub with this ?

I don't think it'd be effective for a tub. You're likely to scratch up the sides. I used this to scrub stains out of my driveway.

I recently painted my concrete patio with the correct paint do you think the bristles are too stiff and may possibly scratch off the paint ?

My concrete is not painted so I am not sure. It really is going to depend on how hard you scrub and it you have a sealant on top. The bristles are not like brilo pad just stiff so I would not hunk that it would do damage but again I cannot be certain.
