These are really sturdy and we have not had any break since we bought them almost a year ago. Our cats like to close themselves in rooms while we were at work and we initially used weights to keep the doors open. But running your toes into them frequently made us research other ways of keeping the doors open. We found these and no cats have been locked in the room since. It's also really nice because our apartment gets a lot of draft since we are on the lake and doors would slam randomly. So this prevents that as well. Great investment and I'm but it works just as well for people who have children.

We had another brand of something similar that lasted quite a while. I ordered these as a replacement and we have had 2 break in less than a month. We have a standard size door and while my youngest (2 years old) loves to forcefully try to close the door, and these are doing their job of keeping fingers from getting hurt, they seem to be hitting the door frame in just the right way to make them break.Aside from that, they do the job and work well. And they’re cheap enough that it’s not a big deal to switch one out.

These are easy to install. Comes in 8 packs. I have installed on every door in my home, including bath doors. Reasonable price and works fine. My nephew accidentally locked himself and we had to break the window to unlock, I wish I could buy and gift this to my sister if I was aware of this product 2 years ago. This is a life saver if you have young kids.
