Is the scoop marked with measurements? Like 1/4 cup?

Yes. My scoop came marked with measurements. HOWEVER, BEWARE - the measurements are INCORRECT. This is not a one-cup measuring scoop. It is about 3/4 of a cup.

Can you use these in any canister and leave them in the canister always?

I do, but keep in mind if you touch the handles with dirty hands you are dropping them back in food. The silver topped ones don't have the attachment in lid so there is really no choice. The scoop size is small enough it fits very well in the canisters. I really like them and just wash them and leave them on top of lid to dry before putting them bac,k if I accidentally get the handles sticky or something.
