Went down and they saved my knees but tore on impact

I've been using these knee pads for a while, they are easy to put on and remove, they fit nicely and they offer a good level of protection for regular "all mountain" riding. Three areas of improvements:1. Make the D3O foam pre-shaped to fit around the knee cup, instead of flat. While the foam is cut in a way to facilitate bending, it would fit MUCH better (and offer more protection) if it had a curved profile.2. Improve ventilation, maybe using a lighter mesh for the back portion of the guard, or by adding some openings.3. Make a version that extends 3" further down to cover the shins, as that's the area where we all got cuts and bruises, especially with flat pedals + pins.

Works well and not too hot!

LOVE these things. I could never go back to Fox or others. These are like wearing socks over your knees, but with D30 protection. 20+ mile rides with NO discomfort or slippage. Very breathable...don't get hot like the bulkier pads. I dont' even remove my shoes to take them off...just pull them off over your shoes. Best product TLD has made. Highly recommend!

I was looking for knee guards that I could use on my local trails. These TLD pads probably wouldn't be appropriate for downhill racing, but if all you need is some light protection for the occasional crash, look no further.I also tried the low profile POC knee guards before getting these. They were too uncomfortable and bulky for my skinny legs.

Very comfortable to pedals or walk. Have not tested on a fall yet, but I feel that will protect my knees from scrapes and they do feel like they will protect some from collision.I would recommend for trail riding and lite jumping, this is what I do and it is perfect for that.

Bottom line I would absolutely buy these again. I’ve been riding with these for 3 months and today suffered my first legitimate crash. My right knee took a good hit and did a short headfirst slide. The fabric on the outside of the pad is a little messed up and my leg is not. The d30 insert did an excellent job of protecting me.Comfort wise I get little scabs on my hamstring tendon from the fabric every time I ride more than than a couple hours. The discomfort is worth the insurance it provides.

Las rodilleras son muy buenas, son muy cómodas. Incluso en ascenso prácticamente no sientes que las traes puestas. La espuma de protección es delgada, todavía no me ha tocado caerme y ponerlas a prueba, pero confío en el material D3O del cual están hechas, el cual se supone que es lo mejor para ese tipo de incidentes. Posiblemente el único "pero" que les pondría es que después de un buen rato rodando puedes llegar a sentirlas calientes ya que no son de malla transpirable.

I wore these non-stop over a 5 day period and they never sagged and dropped down to my ankles. I forgot I was even wearing them. The Speed model is more suited for XC riding than downhill or Enduro.
