I have a failed Sub Talar joint , bone on bone , the pain has been mind numbing ,& mobility severely limited. My Dr prescribed a bulky, clumsy, lace up "boot " which gave minimal relief, and made it impossible to wear normal shoes . Next I tried a $70 Orthopedic brace with Gel support . along with Voltaran arthritis rub made life much more bearable, however ,the brace did not hold up well ,and took days to dry after hand washing . Looking around on Amazon for similar item I ,found these braces & I'm so glad I did . the fit is great, the compression is just where it is needed, & I can get my shoes on Just like the $70 & so affordable

I had all kinds of problems with my foot/ankles beginning two years ago when I blew out my achilles. I was overweight and I was too vigeroulsy trying to quickly loose the weight. Eventually I had to quit working out for about a year's time. I gained even more weight. Then I began jogging on treadmills that allowed a down hill decline which allowed me to jog but put less stress on my ankles. I also got a pair of expensive ankle supports similar to these but costing 50 each (instead of getting two in the package). And that helped as I inched my way forward running more frequently and more intensely. Eventually those support started falling appart and so I began looking around for something less expensive. That's when I found these.Well they weren't perfect (neither were the others but worked about as good as the others) for my foot but seemed to have worked (so far) anyway. I wear them while jogging on a treadmill and hope to continue to increase frequency and intensity. So far there have been no problems. I've lost nearly 30 pounds from my highest point, and I couldn't do that without these. I still have about 15 lbs to go. The more weight I lose the higher the intensity I can jog, the more weight I lose, the higher the intensity and frequency, and so on. I couldn't do it with out these Protles or something else like them. Of course I hope to be able to jog soon without them altogether.They work, they are as good as the more expensive ones I've owned. So I recommend you give them a try and hope they are as good for you as they were for me.

I got this after my ankle surgery. I like the padded area on the side. It help transition from the surgical boots to regular shoes.

I would recommend this product to people with light ankle discomfort. After using these for awhile I find them only comfortable when worn over thin socks. I bought size L according to the recomandation and would like them to be a bit more tight. I find them to reach their full potential when worn with tight shoes.Pros:- Washable- Easy to put on- Easy to take off- Gel prevents impact- Wearable with shoesCons- Not so comfortable on bear skin for all day- Could be a bit tighter (L)- Tight shoes required

Worked perfectly to help with a swollen ankle post leg break. broke it right above the ankle. Now, I have chronic swelling in the nearby ankle. This is the best thing I've found even after loads of physical therapy and other devices. Great product at a great price.
