Hornby R3640 PO Willans and Robinson Peckett W4 Class 0-4-0ST 882 Niclausse - Era 2

I didn't get this during the price drop, but it was still good value at £87. Looks good, runs smoothly, great pulling power for it's size. A little beauty!

What a stunning engine 🚂 liked the look of it, having got it delivered undamaged and on-time. It's so much more, beautifully finished, runs a dream too. Wow

The media could not be loaded.  I've got most of my engines second hand, but I saw this while browsing and had to have it, at £93 not exactly inexpensive ( so I did go for the installments option) but worth every penny, nice detailing external pipes are not just moulded, and you can see knobs and levers in the cab.overall very pleased.....oh and it runs a treat

The media could not be loaded.  This is by far the best quality Hornby I have ever owned. It is small but heavy, runs really smoothly and quietly. When I picked it up, I thought I was picking up some German loco like Maklin or Fleischmann. The modelling is first rate, the body shell might even be metal but I am not sure. The coupling is of the more modern type used by Bachmann not the old Triang Hornby ones. I highly recommend this model and well done Hornby !!

Bargain price and great detail.

Very impressed with this little loco. Runs surprisingly smoothly, and looks great.

This is a very good runner out of the box even before I ran it in, the weight of the loco is also very good, the price was a no brainier at the time.

I love that it came 6 days early, ran perfectly smoothly when I took it from the box and it was very nice to watch it pull some rolling stock.

What can I say it’s a Hornby model they know what they are doing as The model is very detailed so you will want to be careful Aswell the model is very easy to pull apart and look after personally I bought this model for a project where I would use the body to go with another shell and so far it has worked fantastic also the engine is so quiet and the motor that they put in the runs perfectly the inclusion of the international nem sockets is helpful as I run my engines with kadie couplers I highly recommend anyone to get this fantastic engine It looks perfect and runs like a dream

This loco is such a smooth runner for such a small thing. Goes over my insulfrog points with ease and is very controllable. I already have 2 and am 100% planning on getting more.
