Arrived with some hardware not included in the photo (four studs for turbo to downpipes and the nuts for them). There were the correct four washers for the coolant banjo but the two for the oil banjo were missing. Also, there was no o-ring for the coolant line to turbo included, so I reused the old one with no issue but would have liked to replace that. And there was only one diamond-shaped gasket for the oil line from the block to the turbo, and it was a paper one so I used a couple OEM metal ones I had on hand.

So far so good. About 10k miles and no leaks. Kit came with a couple of strange extra paper gaskets that had absolutely no place for them in the install? Also, the oil return gasket is paper junk and I recommend using the OEM metal/rubber gasket. The kit also shorted me two copper crush washers for the banjo lines that I had to buy. As others pointed out, kit doesn’t come with turbo exhaust flange studs so you need to buy those as well. Despite all the missing/wrong parts, the unit itself seems pretty decent. More time will tell.

Installation went smoothly, and they provided good instructions to ensure that you installed and prepared the turbo correctly. Car performance back to original, without troublesome low boost code. The new turbo Wastegate mechanism appears to be an improvement over the original product. Hope the durability is better than the original if so, it will be great value for the money.

First couple of drives after installing everything felt good and could feel it spool up. Then when getting on the highway got to about 3k rpm and it couldn't get out of its own way. Then CEL came back on with low boost code. Doesn't always act up but has happened multiple times over a week.

As an A.S.E. cert.tech the turbo assembly is well made which makes installing pain free....would have liked new exhaust flange bolts included.

Bought this on a chance to save big dollars over the "OEM." Mechanic said the wastegate mechanism on this looks better/ fail proof unlike the old one which was the reason for the replacement.Bought for 2012 Tiguan SEL.
