Great for PfSense
Came much faster then anticipated. Already had PfSense installed version 2.4.5 (latest at the time of this review). Baked up my current system and did a restore to this new system. Everything worked as expected. Just had to rename all the interfaces to match the new interface names (igb0, igb1, igb2, igb3) All VLAN's, VPN's, users, packages etc.. all worked without any intervention after restore. Even has a nice wall mount kit so I could mount on the wall with all my other network stuff.Old cpu was at 70+ %, this one is running at about 2% with 5 vpns and 19 vlans and about 200+ devices and 100s of rules. I also made sure AES-NI was enabled since my last box did not support it. I am very happy so far, I hope to get 10+ years out of this box. 5+ stars since it was fast shipping from hong kong, works as expected even the onboard WiFi works in PfSense and has mounting hardware.

Great hardware we use as small remote office servers!
So let's take stock of the situation, shall we? We have a PC with a server motherboard, Core i3 and 16GB of RAM. Add to that a 256GB M.2 drive and what you have is an all solid-state server / PC for under $500. I own an IT Security Services business and we have one of these deployed at each of our clients and they've operated flawlessly. Well worth the money. On a side note, we run VMware ESXi on the Core i7 variant and it works beautifully without the need for additional drivers.

Not a very good value for the price
This arrived broken and never worked correctly. I had heard good things about Qotom, but they cut a lot of corners on this and even if it hadn't been broken I'd have wanted to send it back. You also get absolutely zero support from Qotom. No docs and their web site is useless. After I sent this back I bought a Protectli system and have had a wonderful experience with that. It's built better and worked perfectly out of the box. Protectli is very responsive to questions and gave me useful answers and docs. It cost a bit more than the Qotom, but I'm fine with that since I'm getting a better product from a better company.

Works great
Like many others, I bought this for pfsense. I took the "hoodisk" 16GB SSD out and threw in a Samsung SSD using the 2.5" mount. Been running fine for 3 months now.Someone mentioned the 2.5" mount is "stiff" and "useless". This is 100% false and caused by his error:The bottom of the unit is a removable panel (4 screws). On this panel they drilled out 4 additional holes so you can screw in a 2.5" drive. It's possible to rotate the panel and screw it into a position where the SATA connector *is* too stiff, but it's easily remediable by simply unscrewing the panel and rotating 180 degrees one way or another.

Good router platform, bad RAM, useless 2.5" mount
Frustration free packaging. Barely gets warm to the touch. Silent. Very flexible BIOS settings. This device runs OPNsense very well, albeit underpowered if using the IDS offering (i don't). Have yet to performance tune ethernet throughput. Suspect any issues will be OPNsense related, hardware seems solid. My unit came with a bad 4GB RAM module, branded Kimtigo Semiconductor (HK) Limited. Never heard of this RAM vendor, not even noteworthy enough for Wikipedia. See attached photo for Memtest86 errors. Replaced memory and works very good now.Other issue was the location of the 2.5" mounting. Because the SAS-like sata connector is so stiff, even with much force, was unable to close the unit with a 2.5" SSD installed. I worked around this with carpet tape, moving the SSD flush to one edge of the mounting plate.

Favorite upgrade of 2020
After years of running a retired PC as my router I finally splurged on this. I am running pFSense on it with great success. The box stays ambient temperature with some direct airflow it. The power consumption savings alone make me feel good about the upgrade. The only challenge I encountered during the install was getting the OS to properly display via HDMI on my 4K display. Some of the text was off the screen. I thought I was going to have to resort to using the serial port, but I was lucky to have a very old 4:3 LCD and HDMI to DVI cable to make it work. This is no fault of the box, but a word of caution for those of you interested in pFSense.

Great hardware.
Installing Pfsense was a breeze. Unlike older units the one I received had all the ethernet ports in order from 1 to 4. The processor and ram is more than sufficient for Pfsense along with multiple services run.

Was working great while it lasted
This tiny machine was wonderful as my first internet server.Instead of just installing Linux or PFsense directly to it I've removed the SSD that came with it and mounted a true 1TB SSD drive, then installed Windows Server 2019 and on top of that I've enabled Hyper-V and installed PFSense and Endian Firewall as separate VMs just to switch between them. The version I purchased had 8GB of RAM which is enough. I was getting my top 640Mbits without a hassle and only using 30% of the CPU at max while I could also attain perfect gigabit speeds with all the network cards installed.Works lovely on Windows Server 2019 and it's truly fast. The only downside is the limited RAM to a max of 8GB and the somewhat slow VGA performance, nothing that can worry too much, specially considering you're going to use this without the video output. For the time that I've used it, it was great. Sadly a storm burned this machine to dust because of a discharge on one of the LAN ports, which fried the entire PC. Be sure to protect the LAN ports otherwise you may loose everything, not being a PC you can't just replace the nic.
