I bought these frames to make into prescription glasses by the eye doctor. They are gorgeous looking and a beautiful red. Unfortunately, the plastic seems a little flimsy, more like sunglass quality (not sturdy for prescription glasses). The most disappointing feature about these frames is that the side plastic ear holders DO NOT have a metal rod running through them for adjusting for a perfect fit. So if you are looking to just wear them as a fashion statement or maybe planning to make them into sunglasses (which would prove quite expensive since you paid a lot for them), I wouldn't recommend these.
