Pentek - 255416-43 ChlorPlus-10 Chloramine Filter (10" x 2.5"), 1 Micron

I had originally installed an "Express Water" reverse osmosis 5-stage system under my kitchen sink, but it did nothing to remove the Chloramines from my tap water. My water still came out tasting and smelling like chlorine and high ammonia still registered on my API test kits. So, finally I bought this filter and replaced the "activated carbon" (3rd stage) filter part of my existing system. Now my water comes out PERFECT. The chlorine smell & taste is gone and the water tests MUCH better. I'm super happy with this filter and definitely recommend it if you're struggling with chloramines in your tap water.

These are an excellent filters for removing chloramine. Chloramine is much more difficult to remove than chlorine, and requires this special filter which is highly rated by a number of different water openings. It is one micron in purification design, and has special design internally which is necessary to help her move chloramine. It won't remove 100 percent of chloramine, because that is extremely difficult unless you have any incredibly expensive water filter system. But it does a great job the most of it out, and I will continue to use these regularly. Thank you Amazon for carrying these hard-to-find Pentek chlorplus cartridges!All you need to do is to replace the last carbon filter in your home water filter system (assuming you have 3 large cartridges, sediment, followed by 2 carbon cartridges, you would just remove the last third stage – and then put in this new cartridge instead). Most carbon cartridges are 5 micron filtration design. This however is one micron alteration design, but plus also has some of the high tech modifications to make a great for removing chlorine chloramine. I will continue to buy them on Amazon!

great product and works with hot water as well for removing chloramines which we know are carcinogenic.I'm so happy I'm protecting my family from whatever in city water..I run 6 different filters with different micron ratings and this filter is last. I also run an automatic distiller as well for drinking water and cooking.This product is the cheapest investment for healthy water along with its high temperatures rating.I also have a filter connected to the shower head it's over kill but I'm rather be overly safe cause I don't trust anyone when it comes to drinking safe water..WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

This filter is outstanding at removing sediment and more importantly the taste of chloramine. My town water tastes great. In fact, it has no taste...the way it should be. I just wish the price was lower...maybe $15 vs. $23. I have to change the filter every 6 weeks.
