Anyone have any experience with the yield on these cartridges

Sorry but we don't use the optimizer that much - we tend to run out of certain colors first.

How many ppm do the cartridges yield?

It depends on the size of the photos you're working on. I have yet to change a gloss cartridge while still having to change many of the color cartridges. The quality of the ink when used on Epson paper is fabulous

is this the correct ink cartridges for the surecolor p400 inkjet printer? my cartridge sizes that i have do not match these product dimensions.

Can you turn off the optimizer when you don't need it?

On my MAC, I can make many adjustments as to how to print. You should be able to turn Optimizer off. It will depend on what type of paper and quality you are wanting to print.
