Once you understand how these poles work, they are easy to put up and take down. Very sturdy and no damage to ceiling. To protect the floor I did put a piece of bathroom mat under the base as a precaution. No issues.

I fractured my hip. After 18 days in a skilled nursing facility, I was sent home. I could walk with a quad cane, and shower using a chair. But getting in and out of the tub was gonna be a challenge. I have a friend who is wheel chair bound, and he has three transfer poles to help him transfer from the wheel chair to the bed, bathroom or lounge chair. He is able to grab the pole, pull himself up, turn and sit down without losing his balance or falling. He does the same for reversing the situation.The trick is to make sure the pole is tightened to the max, so it is good and sturdy.
