I actually hooked it up to the out of my DSP as seen in one of the photos, and fortunately I did read the instructions before I powered it on, CRISIS averted. It does appear that the bluetooth is always on, which I doubt would ever be an issue since I drive my car daily so the battery is always charging. As shown in the video, the unit connects to my phone in seconds, and activate by play, as seen with the red LED lighting up. I am shocked at the level of improvement in sound quality and overall loudness from simply adding this bluetooth RCA device over the quality of my factory radio. I am optimistic about the longevity of this device. Compared to the costs associated with a brand new headunit, buying this device was an absolute steal. The device works great and is an amazing value. I use it everyday and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a way to easily add bluetooth capability to their stereos.
