If you are looking for the perfect starter kit, look no further! This kit has been perfect for our needs and the very detailed book that comes with it, has absolutely EVERYTHING needed to know about the process of tapping, collecting, boiling down and filtering the sap to make your very own maple syrup.The drill bit, steel taps and buckets with lids are easy to install and are all very durable. They have held up wonderfully to some pretty crazy windy weather. The large filter has been a complete game changer for thr filtering process. Everything is of very high quality and I see many years if use with this kit.Very happy with this kit and highly recommend it! You won't be disappointed!

All parts of order arrived together and are very durable. The drill bit worked fine and the taps went in very easily, just remember to put the hanger loop on the tap before inserting it into the tree. The cover has a metal pin that pivots and slides out so you can thread it into the tap to secure the lid over the bucket. All told we made over a gallon of syrup which tastes great! We got over 40 gallons of sap which we boiled down in the kitchen. It is a good idea to run the exhaust fan so the windows in the house don't steam up. We expect to expand the operation next year. Perfect activity to fill those early soggy spring days while stuck in the house. Pancakes for everyone!
