Great light!
I thought I would be disappointed in the light not featuring a dimmer or different intensities of light that you can change but I'm not! The tone of the light is perfect - its a super bright white light which allows you to see the fabric in its true colour/tone.The magnet is extremely strong; it stays securely on my industrial machine without having to fettle with it. And the cord is a great length.

Good for sewing or a workshop machine light
This light works well as a sewing machine light and can also be used as a work light for shop machines. The light is pretty bright - I would estimate at least 30-50 foot-candles given the length of the flex arm. The spread of the beam is wide - probably 70-90 degrees - like a floodlight beam. The magnet is strong enough to mount reliably to the back of a sewing machine or a drill press head or table. Mine was pretty well made, though the white plastic is really more of a beige and had one very small imperfection. The flex arm stays where you put it.As an former engineer, I feel obligated to point out one very minor area of concern: On this light the AC cord goes directly to the housing with the switch, so there is 120 V inside. The back of the switch housing is metal (for the magnet). The cord plug is not polarized. The light is very Chinese - it comes in a retail display box printed in Asian characters and there are no regulatory agency approvals (like UL or ETL) shown. So, there's a small chance that the fault modes of the light haven't been fully evaluated for the American market, and you could end up with the power line connected to whatever metal the light is stuck to (as well as the flex arm) if there was a failure of the insulation inside the switch housing. The larger and more expensive lights typically have an external "wall wart" listed power adapter that only supplies a limited amount of 5V power to the light fixture itself. This concern doesn't bother me more than the cardboard insulation on edison-base lamp switch sockets for old-style table lamps. I suppose I could hi-pot test one of these just to feel better.A more important concern is that if you use this on a machine for metalwork (it could make a good bench grinder light for example) metal filings are going to be attracted to the switch housing. You can't blame the manufacturer for that - it's intended for sewing machines after all - but you might want a few turns of saran wrap or electrical tape around the switch to keep metal out.I'm going to buy some more for other shop machines.

Love it!
This is perfect for my sewing machine, I have an extra lamp but still wasn’t getting light in front where I need it.This little light gives me that! It’s bright and the flexible cord lets me put it right where I want it

Sewing machine LED light
Terrific light without being too bright. Clear visibility to see stitches. Very strong magnet that hold light in place with the vibration of my industrial while sewing.
