The texture and smoothness of the wood is great. I purchased these and they came really fast. Not only can I use these to make fans, but I can use these for many other things for the versatility is there I did use almost half of these for my daughters graduation, but I will be using the other half next year for my sons graduation. They were very durable and we had no issues applying them or having them being used by children.

We had extra invitations and used them with a matching card stock paper to make fans since this was an outdoor event in July. Worked great!

These are great for things that are not arts and crafts. First is that the amount you are buying from this company compared to any other is the best in cost. The fact that I use them to reach in the bottom of bottles, peanut butter, and then spread on toast, etc. Also used for the bottoms of shampoo bottles, conditioners, and face creams to be used to smooth around and for removing body hair. There are many uses for these also in other areas such as stirring paint in smaller paint cans. Even used to get different difficult foods to come out of cans such as hash. I happen to like to use a brush to put my hair color on but you have to mix the different parts of the coloring process together in a plastic bowl to do that. I don't like using the brush to mix it because I am afraid I'm going to either splash it or it will go over. You can't use a metal spoon. But the wooden 8” fan handle really mixes the parts together well and I get the color I want. You really won't be disappointed with this purchase.

I ordered these to use for auction paddles and they worked out great. they are very sturdy had no issues gluing them on to the paddle and people used them all night at the auction. worked perfectly for what i used them for.

We used these handles for our wedding programs. We had a garden wedding, so we had our programs be fans. Very sturdy and big enough to fit a 5x7 program.
