Un volume de 471 pages, de théorie complet, dense pour apprentissage en raison de la quantité d information en petit. Guide complet, dit comment il doit être écrit et prononcer. Il donne des outils. Ex vise vs vice. Beaucoup de théorie, un peu d exercices. C est un livre que l'on peut utiliser de façon aléatoire.

I am not so ignorant to think that there are NO rules for pronunciation and spelling; however, I cam close to being that ignorant when I started teaching English Langauge Learners. I would have students from multiple countries pose the same frightening question. "Why?" Beware, if ou correct someone from another country, they will appreciate it that you did (for some Americans that is a surprise) but second is that after correcting them -- they often ask why. As native speakers we seldom know the answer to this question. That' is about the time I was concluding that though we have pronunciation "rules" they are not tightly applied in all situations. So I hunted for A book on rules and this was the jewel I have needed. I highly recommend this book if ou are teaching or learning English. The only piece that I would suggest to be added to make it perfect isl adding the images of the tongue position when pronouncing words or specific sounds. Theycan be found on the web so it shouldn't be difficult to develoop a set of them and place them in the book. Otherwise it is perfect and still gets my perect rating.
