A Really Nice Device for Locating Fish
I am a weekend fisherman and have never used a fish finding device. I decided to take a chance with this handheld portable model at this entry level price point. I am not disappointed. I use this device on my Pelican Bassraider 10E mostly for finding the depths and drop offs etc. in the 2-20 ft deep ponds in the woods of New England where I fish. I verified what the device was reading for depth and it is accurate to within a few inches. Most of the time it has indicated that fish are in the zone, I have been getting bit and landing more fish. It's got a nice little case and is portable and runs on batteries...which were all important features for me. Try it...you'll like it.

questionably accurate
Just got this and put the batteries in. Took it out to the pool, which is clear with no fish. Depth at the deep end is 8 feet. The sonar said is was 4.5 feet no matter where I took it. No bubbles on the transducer. It also said I had fish in my pool. Will try it in the lake tomorrow.Update 7-17-22- tried it in the lake with a known depth from a different depth finder (boat). It was accurate, so I updated to 4 stars. It also showed the bottom contours some, and some fish but I did not try to catch any so not sure about the fish, they may be there. I think the bottom of the pool replaster is exposed pebble which may influence the acoustic reflection and give false readings. So don't rely on a pool test of this device for depth. Fun fact I use ultrasound at work, so familiar with the physics and why I gave it a second chance.

I love it..
I was skeptical when buying this. I took it out on the lake yesterday and it worked beautiful. For the price you cannot beat it. I just wish it showed the water temperature. Great price and it was shipped free and fast.

PRETTY ACCURATE AS A DEPTH FINDER
Liked the depth soundings and the bottom structure readouts. Not so crazy about the fish indications. Could be sensing debris or grass movement to indicate presence of fish. Good little tool to have while hoping to catch fish.

Pure Junk
I bought this fish finder for my kayak fishing. I could not get it to read a depth or show fish. I returned it and Amazon sent me a new one. The new one did the same thing. So I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. Instructions said it would not work on muddy bottoms, dirty water or the smallest bubble on the transducer so I tried 4 different lakes with no results. Still thinking I might be doing something wrong I had my son ( who knows electronics ) try to make it work. He replied its pure junk dad. I give it a one star because the case is real nice.
