Jeray Rocks of Steel Drink Coolers Large steel cubes, over 25mm!

These drink coolers look good and make an interesting talking point. I also find them handy to keep in the freezer in case I forget to fill the ice cube tray.However, I find that they do not cool down some drinks sufficiently for my taste unless I add all six to the glass which isn't practical, as they're too heavy en masse for fine glassware. I wouldn't use them with gin & tonic, but they are fine for drinks like pastis and Noilly Prat. I would imagine for heathens who like an ice cube in their malt whisky these drink coolers would be ideal since they don't dilute the original spirit. That's as far as my researches have gone!

These are fine - look impressive when you bring them out. My thinking was that these would not water scotch or bourbon down like ice does as it melts, and would still chill the drink. Unfortunately, almost as soon as you add them to a drink, they warm to the temperature of the liquid and so you end up drinking something with warm bits of metal in it. If they held their chill, they'd be great, but for now ice is still far more effective.

Bought this for my son's 19th birthday and they went down a treat! expesive feel and look, very very cool!

keeps the drinks cold without diluting the gin & tonic or Pimms-perfect! Looks great in a glass or jug too
