Surprisingly good for the money
For a good basic machine to help you get fit or keep fit this is an excellent bit of kit. It comes as a kit you need to assemble but amazingly the instructions are precise and clear and assembly is quick and easy. Once assembled it can be folded quite small for storage and when in use it takes up very little space so is ideal for small areas too. It's quiet in use, my gasping being the loudest part of the noise really and whilst the description says it's for use with body weights up to 100kgs, I started at 110 kgs and it coped admirably. We only use the computer thingy in its most basic way so I can't really comment much on that, it does work though. I have various issues with hips and knees and a heart condition and I bought this to help me get fitter and for that it is a boon, also my wife and the grandkids love it as well so for the money I would say this has several benefits although if you are a super fit rowing enthusiast or triathlete I'd look at something a little more suitable and expensive, for what I bought it for though it has exceeded expectations.

Simple, cheap and effective
This is a budget rower but you get a good workout on it. Assembly is reasonably easy and there is little to go wrong (except some have complained of the cylinder leaking). It is neat and stows away on end. I have mine ready in a bedroom so that I can go on it if I have ten minutes to spare. That was the longest I could manage at any one time as it was not as smooth as the more expensive machines and the solid handle did not pull to the sternum as I would have liked it to do. It is good value.Update: this rower is getting smoother now that I have used it for a couple of weeks. It seems to need breaking in but this improvement makes it even better value. The handle does still pull to the abdomen rather than sternum. The foam handle is hard to put on: I got it part way and then soaked a facecloth in water, put it over the foam cover and rowed for 5 minutes. It look some struggling but I got it on and it removes the need for gloves to protect the hands. You won’t regret buying this neat little machine if you are a casual rather than serious rower and are usingit for a good body workout - not crossing the pond!

Good, well made piece of equipment but could do with more resistance levels.
This is a good piece of kit, well-made and straightforward to put together despite looking complicated at first sight. It could however do with a few more resistance levels. I'm 64, fairly slightly built and far from fit at the moment as I've been at home most of the year due to illness but I was using this on the 10th setting (out of 12) almost straight away and I can only just get my heartrate into the target range (up to 120 or so). You can always try going faster but there's a limit to how fast you can go. Not sure also about the 'whole body workout' thing. I can't feel any effect on anything but my legs. This will do me for a while but I suspect I'll need something a bit harder before long. Only other point is that the computer stroke counter frequently counts double so I tend to use it on a time rather than a stroke basis. As others have commented the resistance (at a given level) goes down quite a bit as it warms up-presumably as the viscosity of the liquid in the hydraulic cylinder decreases.

Ideal for regaining former fitness and great value for money
I bought this because my small, local gym has been closed for the majority of the Pandemic. I have only just made this purchase, so the rowing machine is in its first week of use. It has excellent, easy-to-follow instructions and the assembly took around 30 minutes. The Bodyfit Rower feels solid and, as I'm only back on a rower for the first time in a while, I've started by using a low number on the resistance scale (which goes from 1 to 12). The computer (read out) shows the number of repetitions, the time of your session, and the number of calories burnt. Already at the end of the first week, I can feel the benefit, feeling more supple and definitely more flexible. Personally, I didn't make it by very much, but I believe the body weight limit is 15 stones or 95 kilos.

Worth buying
Im 6ft and this is fine for me. Any taller and this will be unsuitable.Make sure you grease the handle bar before attempting to attach the foam!!!!The machine works fine so far my only issue is that the faster i go the more it moves back and forth across the floor which is not ideal.I cant afford nor have the space for a better machine and i am not a workout fanatic so i think this will meet my needs.

Very user friendly
My ability to self assemble anything is legendary as non exsistent however I actually managed this. The success was in the fact the nuts and bolts were seperately packaged and labelled corresponding to the steps in the directions. Without this I probably would have failed. I did manage to put the rowing arm in the wrong way round at first but the mistake was obvious and corrected! When using it didn't slide across the floor, felt really stable and it looks as if it will do the job for a home rowing machine at a very reasonable price. The hydralic cylinder does get hot so do be careful.

Excellent low cost rower
I wanted a rower that was reasonably compact and easy to handle when storing it, this rower achieves all that.It is easy to assemble with the supplied tools ( they are sturdy) , the instructions are basic, but cover the essentials of safety and use. In use the rower is steady, allowing a good rowing action. The LCD readout is basic and could be improved, although it has enough information to allow the rower to assess their performance in time, strokes and energy. Good value for money.

Effective, space-saving
This affordable rowing machine works a treat, and has a wide range of settings to suit the complete beginner, like me, up to what looks like quite high resistance for someone already fit. It's easy to set up, except for putting on the one foam handlebar, which was quite difficult and took three times as long as the rest of the assembly for me. I did the bit of washing up liquid trick, but even so it was quite a workout to get that foam handlebar all on its own. That said, I guess it's on to stay. The machine feels very good to use, and I'm looking forward to exercising with it for a long time to come. the only reason I've given it four stars for sturdiness is that it's new -- if it lasts as it looks like it should, I'll come back and change that to five stars.
