When I first took the outdoor lights out of the box, I noticed that they were metal, with no plastic in the body. I also discovered many certifications on the back. There was a sheet of paper with instructions included but I didn't need it as I've done quite a bit of light installations. And these lights are standard. Before installing the lights, I screwed a pair of LEDs into each light. I had to pull the glass cover off quite hard. I used pliers to attach the wires. The lights have one live, one neutral and one ground, so everything is standard and straightforward for me. I couldn't use the included wire caps because my house has unusually thick wires. Then I wrapped the wire caps with electrical tape to protect them from moisture. I also applied quick-drying silicone around the bracket where it came into contact with the wall for extra protection. I can say that there is absolutely no water entering the interior of the lamp as I have not discovered any condensation inside the lamp since it was installed over 30 days ago. The lights do not glare into my eyes even when I look directly at them creating a more inviting atmosphere. Since the lights have top and bottom bulbs, my porch is more illuminated at night than with the previous cheaper lights without glare protection that had only one bulb.

We used this over our trash cans so we could see at night after walking the dogs, but it wasn’t so bright as to be obnoxious to the neighbors. It’s very mild, gentle. Easy to install. Dawn to dusk worked perfectly. I like that you can remove a bulb if you think it’s too bright.

On our deck where the stairs go down into the backyard, its dark. So having this on dusk to dawn setting as I sit in the house I can see on the deck where the stairs are to see if anything is coming up the stairs. Plus when having to take our old dog down at night, don't need to have to carry flashlight to see. Also the soft glow just points up or down so doesnt shine out to disturb neighbors. Awesome light.

These lights are beautiful & we've received so many compliments on them. They blend perfectly with our landscaping lights. We are very very happy with this purchase & highly recommend anyone interested in this type of lighting to buy these. Price is very reasonable also. We have them as garage lights but you could use them on your front porch, doorways, etc.

It looks awesome on my house, I love it!It's actually pretty solidly built, seems durable and the company aren't tightwads and actually include two bulbs.Negatives ? Yes two1. It's a pain to install, if not you're handy and patient It might really frustrate you.2. The sensor can't be overridden (without a little re-wiring) and it can be a little insensitive to light, at times still lighting up in the mornings when there's a lot of light outside already.Otherwise it's a great unit

Replaced builder coach lights. I have them on a timer so I don’t use the dusk/dawn feature. I like how the light shines up and down as opposed to just down as the builder ones did.

This product is amazing and worth the price. It was so easy to mount to the wall and looks magnificent outside the door. The cylinder makes it look sleek and modern. The material appears to be sturdy and well made. The light is bright enough that I can see who is at my front door. I would recommend this product.

we bought this for our back entrance because it goes with our backyard style. The look is very nice and it’s easy to install (my boy friend just switch the old ones out). It’s not super bright and create a cozy feel for our house.
