More Books! More Beats!
If you have a physical drum machine or sampler with a step sequencer, this is for you. It has various patterns, fills, and breaks. Though some of the patterns may not be your cup of tea, but at the least they provide an excellent new way to look a things when programming your machine. This book is a great learning tool or refresher that lets you away from your computer screen for once.

Good place to learn drum patterns
The book really seems to be aimed at traditional bands so that the band can practice with a drum machine when they don't have a drummer. Some of the styles seem a bit old-fashioned, like twist and waltz. I would love to see an updated version of this book covering electronic music styles more suitable for drum machines, such as techno, dnb, trance, etc. The drum machine patterns in the book are accompanied by the proper drum music. The pattern beats are also numbered which was something missing from the other 200 Drum Machine Patterns book. Even though it's dated, I would still recommend this book to beginners to help them learn the basics.
