Perfect, actual writing with a pen is a lost art especially with a fine instrument such as a classic Waterman Pen. It should be filled with original Waterman refills.

Waterman refills are as good as it gets. Would put them up against Mont Blanc any day. Ink is very black and the refill lasts a long time.

Overall I like this refill. It is is crisp black that has great contrast. As I heard someone else say, it is a “juicy” black. And I think that sums it up perfectly. My only complaint is that it often takes a bit to get started. If you’re trying to be careful writing it can take a few strokes to get the ball rolling (Mainly if you’re using lighter than normal writing pressure). This causes a lighter thinner line. The juicy black kicks unexpectedly and can cause your writing to look messy. But once writing especially for longer notes and letters, it is very smooth and consistent.
