My first real fountain pen, and it’s all I wanted
TLDR: After using it for a few days, I’ve been very satisfied! While the included instructions were a bit too artistic for their own good, (several pictures with arrows, checks, and X’s) that led to a lot more looking stuff up than I would have hoped.I like the aesthetic of fountain pens, and I’ve been using Pilot Varsity disposable fountain pens for a while so I knew I would enjoy writing. So take the rest of this review from that perspective.Nice weight, easy to fill and clean, great seal on the cap, and I love the transparent plastic on the pen. It’s both great to see my ink for aesthetics and well as helping me understand what’s going on in the pen since I’m kinda new here. Especially to piston fillers! So far I’ve used it for about a week. I’ve filled it with one ink, used it, washed it out, filled it with a new ink, and been using it ever since. Really easy and a joy to use!Easy 5 star, I will come back and update this review ONLY if something bad happens to the pen in the future. If you don’t see any update, presume it’s still running strong, or I’m dead. :)

Great writing tool and an affordable price.
I've been carting around a 'Fine' point Eco, and while I enjoy writing with it, it's a bit too wet for my style. The EF is perfect for my writing - good for small and large writing with a much better 'doodle' capability. The large chamber is great so I don't have to refill it every other week, the nib writes smooth, and the look of the demonstrator with my Special Reserve - Shoreline Gold is chic.I'm very happy with my purchase, and similar to my other Eco, I look forward to many words in print.

Pleasantly surprised!
Received this <EF> Eco today and immediately filled with Iroshizuku asa-gao (same ink as my <F> Metropolitan). I kinda wanted a demonstrator and my self-imposed 3 month new pen buying waiting period was up. First, it looks cool especially w/ the purplish blue asa-gao. AND it writes just as good as it looks. Writing wise, it's smooth and although the EF Eco nib line width is about the same as the Pilot Metro F nib, the ECO is wetter and maybe feathers a tiny bit more than the pilot. This is on a standard, decent quality legal pad with no bleed through for either pen. HOWEVER, and this is big for me, the ECO spanks the metropolitan when writing with the nib upside down. I can write small, fast and fine with zero scratching, ripping or skipping. Lol, I can't believe I'm geeking out about a pen...

Better starter pen than an EDC type of pen. Ink capacity is the main feature here.
I like an extra fine line from an extra fine nib. I expect a fine nib to write like a European medium, but I had higher hopes for an EF one. It's definitely a European medium here.Ink flow is fantastic and smooth. I inked it with Diamine Ox Blood ink and let it sit for a few minutes to soak into the feed. Not a single skip so far on a Rhodia webbie. The piston filling is nice, but dont he surprised that the first few ml's are going to be filled with air. I backfed it three times to fill it and it still winds up with an air pocket. But, theres so much ink in it anyways you cant really complain. The pen grip is also a problem for me. It's in a fine location but it's super smooth and when my clammy hands get to writing for a few minutes I start sliding all over the place on my grip. I'm sure I can fix it with some small pieces of grip tape or something, but it was noticeable so I mention it here.As usual, TWSBI sends plenty of extras with the pen - oil for the piston ring, a disassembly wrench thing, and generous instructions slash warning pictures about the pressure associated with the piston filling system. On a budget, I like it better than a Lamy safari but not as much as a Pilot metropolitan in terms of durability, nib on paper feel, and looks.

Amazing value
This is my absolute favorite pen. Holds tons of ink and looks good doing it. Piston mechanism is smooth and easy to use. The nib looks good and writes well. This one writes a little wet for an extra fine, but not bad. I honestly like this better than the more expensive 580.

Great pen
Worth it. I use it for drawing mostly. Filled it with platinum carbon black ink. Good capacity. Easy to refill, just twist the end. Comes with a plastic wrench to take it apart and clean. Took a little fiddling to get that right but most people with common sense can figure it out. If not go ask YouTube or your dad. Looks expensive.Saw someone eyeing it when I was at a work meeting. I told him to stay back and don’t touch my pen or else.He was like, cool your jets dude I just want to try it.No way bub.My twsbi ain’t no philandering bic, getting passed around on a training attendance clipboard. She’s my ride or die.Love this pen. My precious.

I've found fountain pen nirvana.
Loved the TWSBI Eco Fountain pen so well I now have three and plan to order more. (For different color of inks. I'm currently using TWSBI inks.) My TWSBI all have extra fine nibs. They glide across the paper, writing is effortless, goodbye writing fatigue. They consistently lay down a beautiful thin line with no skipping or blotting. The body is beveled so no rolling off the desk. The caps post solidly on the body with no wobbles. Caps screw on so there's no chance of it accidentally popping off.All three of mine are clear and although the bodies are thick I can easily see the ink color at a glance. Filling them is a breeze, they pull up ink so well. Cannot find anything to complain about with these pens. I have fountain pens that cost three or four times more than these that I no longer reach for, that's how much I love these.

Beautiful to write with for its price!
The media could not be loaded. This fountain pen writes so well! It’s easy to use when filling it up with ink, but the instructions it comes with are kinda confusing, something you’d have to look over twice to kinda get the gist of it. It comes with a lovely wrench to disassemble it and some silicone oil to help with the little thing that brings the ink up ! For its price, defo something worth buying especially if you’re new to fountain pens.
