I have hatched out numerous batches of chicks in the past year in this incubator. As a newbie hobby hatcher, I found my hatch rates/results to be fairly successful. Considering early mistakes I made and the varying qualities on eggs the I set, I still have always managed to get some babies every time I have have used my JN7. It does a good job of holding temperature. The semi-turner is a breeze to use as long as you are able to keep up with daily turning. There is apparently no built-in hygrometer unless there is some way to flip the temperature display to give you a humidity read-out. The very sparse instructions included do not tell you; this is one of the worst features about purchasing this brand, lack of detailed instructions. The water trays are not conducive to easy access either; there is no easy way to add water without setting up a tubing system, and in an incubator filled to capacity you can't see what you are doing at all. The viewing windows are miniscule too, so if you're looking for a way to keep an eye on internal meters and egg pips, you'd be better buying one of the updated models with the clear plastic bottoms, Overall though, a good buy for the price, and recommend this model to intermediately experienced hobby hatchers looking to add a medium capacity table-top unit.
