Bought this for my nephew. I am into detecting and he wanted to try it out. This is the perfect starter metal detector. Not just for kids. But adults as well. Picked up shallow coins 2-3” no problem. Didn’t put it through a lot of testing. But for what it was bought for. It’s perfect.

Der Detektor wird natürlich ein teures Gerät nicht ersetzen können, aber ist als Ersatz- und Reisedetektor (für den "Notfall") durchaus verwendbar, insbesondere wenn es sich in den Händen eines erfahrenen Sondengängers befindet. Den Einsatz als "Kindergerät" sehe ich (nur) insofern als problematisch an, als der fehlende Pinpointer im Zusammenhang mit dem verzögerten Signal kein "intuitives" Suchen gewährleistet. Mit Erfahrung wírd man hingegen über den vermuteten Zielort schwenken und abschätzen können, wo zu graben ist.PROs: Gute Tiefenleistung, annehmbarer Diskriminator, ergonomisch & schnell aus/einfaltbar. Habe in der Not einmal mit diesem Gerät (statt Equinox800) gesucht und trotzdem tolle Funde gemacht (Erfahrung wichtig).CONs: Die Mechanik erscheint sehr anfällig für die Aufnahme von Sand und feine Bodenpartikel. Wenn man hier nicht drauf achtet, wird sie vermutlich irgendwann blockieren. Die Ablegstütze ist kaum brauchbar. Die kleiner Spule erschwert es, "Fläche zu machen", kann sich aber bei höherer Funddichte (Stw. Diskrimination) auch als Vorteil erweisen.

This little detector is so easy to use. I bought it to fit into my archery box - its is so compact and light - a triumph of well thought out design.Switch it on and start detecting its that simple. It remembers your settings so no need to recalibrate. Switch-on and go. I am 6'1" and it is easily long enough to avoid the need to bend my old back. The club's other detectors are not as long and my back aches after a while using them - no such problems with this compact and very light little detector.it finds arrows no-problem - but to be pedantic - one slight issue I should have been aware of myself before I bought this model - is that it has a slight delay when sweeping rapidly over small objects before the beep - and thus you have to zero-in for a few sweeps while moving by sweeping left and right. It's only a very minor inconvenience, but in hindsight I should have paid the extra for the next model up in the same range. This has a zero button to allow static detection. This base-model still works very well however. You just have to visualise the centre location between beeps while swinging left and right - simples.The discrimination is 1st class. When I search for lost arrows in deep grass, It detects the aluminium shaft with one tone and icon and then the tone and the icons displayed changes when you sweep over the tiny iron point of the arrow. So even the different components of a mixed metal artifact can be detected. Impressive for such a lo-cost detector.The LCD screen is clear even in sunlight - the characters are large enough so that my old eyes don't need reading glasses to adjust settings. It fits nicely in the hand - and is very light to swing around. I don't bother with the velcro strap and have never needed it - even when sweeping more vigourously. So personally, I don't think that previous comments about it being fiddly to use are valid the real world - at least not for me.My fellow archers are very impressed and I suspect some will be following my lead. If you want a detector to fold-away to fit into a back-pack or where space is limited - that is not a toy - IMHO - This range of detectors should be your go-to choice .Delighted here!
