This phosphate-free formula is suitable for all life stages and is made in America, making it a reliable choice for aquarium enthusiasts. ## Description API® PROPER pH 8.2 automatically sets and stabilizes pH at 8.2 in saltwater, brackish, and African cichlid aquariums without the use of phosphates. pH is the measure of acidic or alkaline conditions in water, where a value of 7.0 corresponds to a neutral pH, pH values above 7.0 are considered alkaline, and pH values below 7.0 are considered acidic. Different fish need different pH levels to be healthy, so it is important to test your water regularly to ensure pH levels fall where they should. If water does not test at the desired pH level, use API PROPER pH 8.2 to adjust and hold the level. Use when setting up aquarium or changing water. Add 1 scoop for every 10 gallons of aquarium water. Repeat dose when pH test indicates a pH change of more than 0.2. ## Features - API PROPER pH 8.2 automatically sets and stabilizes pH at 8.2 in saltwater, brackish, and African cichlid aquariums without the use of phosphates. - pH is the measure of acidic or alkaline conditions in water, where a value of 7.0 corresponds to a neutral pH, pH values above 7.0 are considered alkaline, and pH values below 7.0 are considered acidic. - Different fish need different pH levels to be healthy, so it is important to test your water regularly to ensure pH levels fall where they should. - If water does not test at the desired pH level, use API PROPER pH 8.2 to adjust and hold the level.
