Blum38N355B.10 Compact BLUMOTION 38N Hinge, Soft-Close, 105 Degree, 5/8 Overlay, Screw-on (Pack of 4)

Despite the price of Blum brand hinge are double the price of other brands in the market, I chose to buy them because the hassle of ordering a new one and replacing the older one cost time, and I don’t want to waste it.This is the third order of Blum hinge to replace the old Liberty 5/8 overlay hinges which were batch installed by builder. The old hinges started making noise after about 5 years, not sure how long Blum will last, will see.

Got these to replace the old two price design of the Blum compact 33 hinge without the soft-close feature these fit and work great.

If the old screw holes on the door don't match, you can connect these without drilling new holes.Insert the hinge and replace the old screws so that the screw head covers the edge of the hinge.See photo. These are holding securely.I replaced Grass 830 hinges 5/8 overlay. They were over 20 years old and no longer made.I'm glad I found these new hinges after searching everywhere. I was apprehensive about installing these as I really didn't know if they were the right size, but my old hinges had the size that I needed imprinted on them and after searching a lot of online vendors (even Blum), finally came back to Amazon of course. Here's the thing, I realized my size was not popular size for hinges, so I needed to try they out. I got the 4 pack and they fit perfectly. I wish they sold more than 4 in a pack and ended up getting 20 from Ebay for $60. Still if you just need 4, it's a great hinge.
