I was a supporter on Kickstarter and the product turned out great. Have given it as a gift to others and they've turned into huge fans as well. I had never baked bread prior to buying the product but have now been a regular baker.

Not useful
Exceedingly cumbersome to use. I can never slide unbaked loaves onto the base without them jamming up and losing their shape. Loaves taste good but if they come out (mine stuck to the Forneau), they come out totally misshapen and with soft top crust, not at all like a proper baguette.I'm throwing mine away.

LOVE my Forneau
LOVE my Forneau!!! Got it as a gift for Christmas and have already baked about 15 loaves and baguettes. Comes with a very informative booklet that, among other things, contains simple and delicious "no kneading" recipes. All you need is flour, water, yeast, salt, a few simple kitchen tools and some time. Have experimented with adding things like different pesto mixtures, roasted garlic cloves, fresh chopped herbs, crunchy green olives and lemon zest. Also experimented with white, whole wheat, rye, spelt and other flours. Have not had a single disappointment, which has been a delightful and complete shock to me. I was NOT an experienced bread baker before this experience. This weekend, I'm going to start a sourdough starter so next week I can begin experimenting with using the starter culture rather than yeast. If you love crusty bread and want to make it yourself, don't hesitate about making this purchase. You wont be disappointment.
