Mason CashCream Hen Nest Egg Storage

Fed up with egg boxes I decided an egg store was needed but the modern options left me cold. Well there's nothing modern about this kitchen kitsch classic. It holds 10 eggs easily, 12 with a bit of organising and keeps them safe from harm. It's a talking point too, although views on its charms are of the marmite variety. For instance I love it, my husband however is threatening to close down my access to amazon.

I have thought about getting one of these for years, and had put this item on my Personal Wish List on Smile.Amazon. Just before Christmas, I finally made the purchase. It arrived promptly, well packaged and in perfect condition. When I unpacked it I was surprised how small it was and was concerned that I wouldn't fit many eggs in.The pictures show it closed and then open with as many egg as I could get in. It takes on average 15 large eggs. That is not super large, but classified as large. I really, really love this beautiful piece of pottery and would thoroughly recommend both the supplier and this particular design which is truly beautiful. 😀👍

Fantastic product, I’ve been looking for one for ages. I had one whilst growing up and this one brings back lots of pleasant memories. The quality is great and it came really well boxed and bubble wrapped so arrived without a chip. Stores plenty of eggs too. Highly recommend. Fast delivery as well.

After reading reviews about how the chicken egg hold arrives damaged, I decided to buy it and see what happens. I can report the delivery service was fine, it arrived with a few other items in the sane box and there was no damage to it. It us slightly smaller than I expected, but it still a nice chicken which fits in well in my kitchen. However, it only hold 10 large eggs, but about 16 small eggs if you place them carefully in there.

I have been hankering after a ceramic chicken to store eggs for ages now, much to the bewilderment of my family and fell for this girl because of her good looks and, I have to admit, the price , which is really reasonable compared to what shops and especially markets are looking for insipid cream or brown versions. Arrived within 4 days of ordering, really well packaged with absolutely no damage. Looks exactly like the images, in fact better in real life. She easily holds 12 large eggs and could fit more. She is in pride of place on the worktop and guess what? She is universally adored, even by the teenagers who like nothing their mother likes! She is the gorgeous Beyonce of the ceramic Chicken world. Hope she gets to shake her impressive tail feather for a long time in our kitchen. Love it!!!
