I didn't buy this for cookies. I bought this for my work with COCORAHS. My previous spatula was plastic. I need one with a wide, and durable pad and well built handle when collecting core samples of snow and ice depths. My plastic one shattered this year. The reason? I moved from Washington State to Maine. We don't get frozen rain and ice storms in Central Washington very often. Maine has proven to be quite different. I spent a fair amount of time looking at different variations of ones with the needed specs for my purposes, and finally decided on this one. When I finally received it, I found the pad to be very durable. The pad's length is 8 & 1/8th inches while its' width is 6 & 1/2. Its' thickness measures in at 1/16th of an inch. The handle is full tang with three pins. Each is half an inch wide. The length of the handle measures out at 5 &1/2 inches, and at it's widest point, the end, 1". The handle is well built and fits perfectly in my grip. The one weakness I've found is the elbow. I have to be able to pick up more weight than a mere cookie quite often. I also need to be able to chip and dig with it when needed to clear snow and ice from the area I intend to collect my core from. The elbow often bends out of shape and doesn't take much weight for it to bend at all. If I were the manufacturer, I'd seriously consider thickening this area of the tool. I haven't tested it with cookies yet. I imagine my issue, given my use, wasn't in their thinking when they made this, so it wouldn't be fair to rap them for it. Finally, bear in mind I'm still using it; hence, my five star rating.

This review is for the large oversized rounded spatula. ***** QUALITY Overall this spatula is thick and can hold a reasonable amount of weight. The stainless steel is not polished smooth. It has a brushed steel look. I would recommend to hand wash only. Not that it would rust, but a combination of some dishwashers/detergent can leave spots on this type of stainless steel. I am dinging one star because the handle could be of better quality. See photo 3. It is a type of low quality hard plastic that is on the cheesy side. As photographed by another reviewer the handle can easily melt if it comes into contact with hot cookware. ***** BEVELED EDGE There is not much of a bevel to slide under the object being cooked. The spatula is thicker than I expected. I did not notice a thickness measurement on the Amazon product page. A common thinner metal spatula does not need a beveled edge. I can understand the minimal bevel because due to the thickness of the metal. It would be sharp just like a knife if was made to easily slide under food. I believe over time this spatula will excessively scratch most home cookware due to the force needed to slide under the food being cooked. This spatula would be great for use on a BBQ grill of commercial kitchen grill. Other uses in the home could include removing large or wide cooked objects from a pan such as enchiladas, etc. For the beveled edge see photos 4, 5 and 6. ***** MEASUREMENTS For a breakdown of internal measurements see photos 1, 2 and 3.

Perfect pancake size, which was my intention when purchasing. Very practical for fried eggs too. I’m just getting started with this but I’m already reaching for it like a reliable kitchen necessity!

I didn’t buy this spatula for cookies. I have a countertop electric pizza oven, and I wanted a smaller spatula for the single serving pizzas I bake. The regular size spatula that came with the oven was awkward for me to use. I find this spatula to be a great size for my application and use. The blade is thick compared to regular cookie spatulas, and very sturdy. The offset to the handle is a little deeper angled and longer than my other spatulas, which I like. I use a flat 8 or 10” icing blade to slide the pizza off the spatula rather than try to shake the pizza onto the oven stone, which I find easier. Glad I found it.

Looks were deceiving. I expected a large spatula perfect for flipping a bed of hash browns (listing says 14.5" and pictures show it filling the entire pan) but it's maybe 6" round. 14.5" in length, I guess. Seems like a well made utensil but not what I expected.

I haven't used it yet, but it has a nicely chiseled front edge to slide under the pancakes. Headed to the beach and plan to make some for the family on my griddle.
