Coheed and Cambria: Live at the Starland Ballroom [DVD]

It's difficult for me to be hard on Coheed & Cambria releases. I have been so entrenched in the story for so long that I can't get enough of it. Luckily for me, this release deserves nothing but praise. It's everything you could ask for in a live release. You get a DVD to experience the live concert and perhaps most importantly, a CD to take it on the go. I would have been happy with the CD personally. The sound is great and the selection of songs is solid. The other DVD release does NOT include a CD, so if you're trying to decide between them, I would not hesitate to pick this one up.

I was so excited to receive this DVD because Coheed & Cambria are a great band and I was anticipating something mind blowing....I was not disappointed! I loved the stripped down raw feel of this concert, It felt very intimate and Coheed & Cambria's performance was fantastic! I also loved the little extra features like the videos for A Favor House Atlantic and Blood Red Summer. I liked the individual interviews, but mostly I just loved the music!

ITS COHEED & CAMBRIA, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND! THE DVD CAME FAST AND WAS PERFECT. I LOVE IT. WISH THEY HAD BLU RAY THOUGH.

Coheed fans will love this DVD. The quality is perfect and the playlist is great. The DVD has some very cool extra features...bonus concert footage, videos and interviews with the band. Completely satisfied!!

Had to return item case damaged booklet missing listed as new but was no where near new! 😞 buyer beware !!!

Amazing show by an amazing band!

This DVD/CD combo is a very worthy effort by Coheed and Cambria. It includes all of their hit songs and they are a joy to watch live. The only bad thing about this package is that the audio on the DVD is sub-par. This doesnt mean that it is bad, it just isnt the kind of quality I would expect from a big time band like Coheed and Cambria. Even though the audio isnt that great, I still watch the thing all the time. The best part of this package is the CD that comes along with it. This is worth buying this product alone. I suggest putting the CD on full blast and watching the DVD on mute. All in all I give the DVD 3 out of 5 and the CD 5 out of 5 which averages out to a decent 4. This should hold anyone that needs a Coheed fix until they put out their next CD

coheed is my favorite band of all time. this DVD/DC is amazing. being only 15 and not being able to drive i havent been able se to the band live. so this DVD is sweet. CO&CA are amazing song writers and better musicians and are awesome to watch live. I highly suggest buying this one!

Richtig gelungene DvD die eine tolle Stimmung rüberbringt und massig Spass macht! Die Songauswahl, des im Starland Ballroom mitgeschnittenen Gigs, umfasst in 10 Songs das beste aus den ersten beiden Alben und lässt keine Wünsche offen!Dazu kommen noch die drei Musikvideos von "A Favor House Atlantic","Devil In Jersey" und "Blood Red Summer"(+"BRS"-Making of!);der Mitschnitt der Live Performance vom 2004Skate+Surf Festival!!! der nochmal 4 Songs umfasst,plus 2 kurze interviews mit den BandmitgliedernEine wirklich coole Zusammenstellung von einer Band die Live einiges zu bieten hat und teilweise die wirkung ihrer songs im vergleich zu den Studio aufnahmen noch steigern kann!Super Sound, Gutes Bild, Tolles Bonusmaterial, Wahnsinns Atmosphäre (Der akkustische Soloauftritt von Claudio Sanchez bei "The Light + The Glass" haut einen um!)

Following Coheed & Cambria’s release of the awesome ‘Good Apollo…..,’ I dug out the first two albums to update myself on the story so far and was reminded just how good they were. I’m now rueing the fact that I have not been to see them live at an earlier date, at least before some of these tracks are undoubtedly dropped in favour of the quality new material. .Fortunately, although not quite the same as seeing them in the flesh, this live DVD is nothing less than awesome. The songs are given an extra kick with an increased tempo and the raw live sound adds a whole new dimension to the tracks.The filming is good too, it doesn’t jump around too much and captures the individual members when they need to be captured. Shots of the crowd are limited so you have optimum band time to admire their awesome musicianship. If I could have chosen 10 tracks to include it would have been these 10, a mix of the melodic classics (Blood Red Summer, A Favour House Atlantic and Devil in New Jersey) and the prog masterpieces (In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth 3 and The Crowing). The balance of tracks are Time Consumer, Everything Evil, Delirium Trigger, Three Evils and The Light and The Glass.There is a nice touch to the encore….but I won’t spoil the moment!The extras include two band interviews, three promo videos (Blood Red Summer, A Favour House Atlantic and Devil In New Jersey) a 4 song live extract from a Skate & Surf gig and an audio CD of the Starland gig. To be honest it’s worth buying for the extras alone, the live cd is as good as many other live albums out there.If you ever wanted to catch a band in their prime, still brimming with energy this is it.

only got into this band last year,but I have grown to love their entire work.I bought this dvd thinking I would have to rip a copy to play on my dvd player,but it actually played on my region 2 dvd player.I didn't know about the bonus audio disc of the concert either.More than impressed.The three videos are funny as well.Good stuff.

Co&Ca sind einfach das Beste was ich seit langem gehört habe! Ich kann mich meinen Vorrednern da nur anschließen! Diese DVD ist echt jedem zu empfehlen. V.a. Claudio Sanchez Soloauftritt zu "the light & the glass" ganz am Ende des Konzertes hat mich total beeindruckt!Live sind die Songs von Co&Ca einfach nur noch der Wahnsinn! (Was ich nicht von vielen Band behaupten kann).Am besten kaufen und selbst erfahren! Mit dieser DVD macht man bestimmt nichts falsch!Co&Ca 4ever!
