Seems fine. Since i am using it outdoors a lot, id have preferred if the metal fittings were stainless steel

This is a fine tape, decent quality, perfectly acceptable for the price, but it is an imperial tape, with metric on the back. When you hook the end to blockwork, timber, etc, metric is on the underside. Should have noted the other review that said the same thing. Disappointed.

I bought this item because it was not steel tape and did not have gears that would wear out. I am not having any trouble winding the tape back without gears, but I don't use it a lot. The tape works for me in a wet outdoors environment.

I like the fact that it has imperial on one side and metric on the other......so inches and feet on one side and metres and centimeters on the other.

I've owned pretty much every brand of a 300' tape that's made out there and this one here has them all beat so far. I've been using it for a few months now and it's been tangle free and very easy to retract. Very happy.

I have used it at work to measure excavation, pipe, and asphalt and it’s been over two years and still holding up .
