i have been trying to grow basin since last one year. i have tried planting it outdoors and indoors, but both times, it just didnt work well. i lways kept forgetting to water or sometimes bugs were an issue. so bought this smart garden. it is perfect for starting seedlings indoors. with the thought that i could prepare seedlings in this. and once the seedlings had strong roots, i could transfer it to bigger planters. i planted basil seeds. with 2 pots and 9 separate sections, i sowed about 15 seeds in all. there is a grow light attached to it, so i didnt need to worry about lighting issue when placed indoors. the light can be times to 16hrs on and 8 hr off cycle. this is mains charged so no issue of worrying about changing batteries. once the water container is filled with water, i forgot all about it. once when the water level was low, the setup beeped. i refilled the water container and it was good to go for few more days . with no danger of overwatering or underwatering, as the water is regulated, i was very hopeful that this time the plants will survive. after about 8-10 days of sowing the seeds, i can now see tiny green shoots coming up. this is a very efficient system of watering. i am very happy to see the small shoots coming up . a good buy where i dont have to worry about light and water . if all the seeds sprout well, i will have 10-15 plants ready to be planted in bigger planters.

This hydroponics set fits nicely on my window sill - I am using it to grow herbs. in the home. All you have to do is add your seeds - have gone for parsley and chives - fill it with water and plugging in - you need a standard UK plug for the light to work. It is very handy as it has an alarm that will sound when the water level is too low and needs topping up. Would recommend.

I was looking for a small hydroponics system. I wanted one to bring on cuttings a friend was giving me of some house plants. Didn't want anything big as space is at a premium. It's compact, easy to assemble and the instructions were simple. Good value for money. In the six weeks since I bought it my cuttings have grown very well considering I get very little sunlight in the living room. The alarm to tell you the water level is too low is handy as well as the different lighting modes. Very happy with my purchase.

I got this as a little gardening project with the kids. It's easy to set up. My 9 year old did it by himself. We used oregano and chive seeds. There is an indicator for when the water level gets too low. The light also has two different settings. Would make a fun present!

we had high hopes for this product and added our water and seeds. Then moved to set up the light, sadly it did not work. Nor did it stay upright. We think a little adjustment of the screw on the side to tighten it would have worked, but as the actual LED did not come on we have sent it back. Awaiting a replacement for it now. It is good that it comes with vermiculite as this is a great way to propagate seeds.

Brilliant idea to start seedlings when it is still cold outside, great because you can set timer and just let it do the work even let's you know when more water is needed

Great little setup, basically just add seeds and water and away you go. Been reading up since I bought it and you can grow virtually anything from this. Love it and glad I bought it.
