Northpoint, Cashmere Plush Velvet Blanket, Full/Queen, Purple

The most amazing throw I've ever purchased (and I've bought many...). It's really thick and lush, it's not that chintzy thin stuff. You can't tell on the screen how thick something is, obviously, but trust me, these throws are very luxuriously thick. PLEASE MAKE THIS THROW IN WHITE OR IVORY!!!! UPDATE: The charcoal throw sheds HORRIBLY. DO NOT BUY THE CHARCOAL. I have this throw in coral, black, and teal and they all wash up beautifully and have zero shedding. The charcoal throws shed everywhere, and if anything, washing intensifies the shedding. They seem to have been woven too loosely. They are a beautiful color, but they are just very poor quality. I noticed other reviewers who complained about shedding also purchased the charcoal, so something's up with it.

The reviews complaining about the value confuse me... It's very soft, light, shimmery and warm. I can't imagine what more someone could want from a throw blanket for under $20. I've washed mine a few times, and haven't experienced the shedding issue. Maybe it's the detergent (Biokleen) I use? Either way, I drag it around the house like Linus. My cats like to sleep on it. Prepare to sweat a bit if you do the same- these fabrics aren't very breathable.These pictures are fuzzy (iPad) but they show how one side clumps/piles a bit after being washed. Not a dealbreaker.

I am thrilled to say I didn't! I just received this new color (Teal) as an addition to my remodeled bedroom with which I have been very picky as to what goes in my bedroom - I have taken back two comforter sets so far because they are "not right". I purchased the 90x90 teal and this is a keeper. It is huge and I love that. My headline describes this blanket to a tee and the picture is accurate with regards to color. The velvety characteristic gives the blanket a deeper teal color, leaning more to the side of elegant and the softness makes you want to wrap up in it and take a long nap. I think the price tag, although not the cheapest blanket on Amazon, is comparable. It would be nice to see them come down a little bit since there is almost always money saved when you buy the same item in a larger size, but in this case I was willing to check it out and I am glad that I did.

I bought the Northpoint Cashmere Plush Velvet Blanket because it looked beautiful and soft to the touch. It is indeed a beautiful blanket and I love the burgundy, which is true to color. The only problem is, when I washed the blanket it developed large 'pills' all over it. I spent at least an hour picking the pills off it. It wasn't as bad as some reviewers have reported in that it hasn't left bits of itself all over the house or on clothing but because of this issue, I can't recommend this blanket.

This blanket has been awesome since I work in an ice box of an office. It can be 100 outside and 64 at my desk! It's been wonderful! There's a lovely picture of the blanket making my desktop nice and colorful, I even have this in the large size very nice blanket!

I love this throw. I keep it on the couch and wash it every 1-2 weeks. It has held up very well to over a year of daily use and frequent washings. I was afraid that the softness would become piled after the use and wash, but it has not happened yet. In addition, there has been no fading in the beautiful and vibrant teal color. I have considered buying more of these for other areas of my house multiple times.

I'm so sad, wanted a TEAL blanket and that is what I ordered. I received a color more like Hunter Green. The ribbon tied around the blanket is definitely TEAL - why isn't the blanket? I am going to leave it in the room for 24 hr to be sure it's not just a lighting issue. Will probably have to return them...so bummed because the blankets are SUUUPER soft and cuddly! I got two.

When people describe something as velvety smooth, I compare it to this blanket. I used to say that I didn't like throws, and only bought this because a friend had recommended looking for something like it, but I can easily say that I've been converted.PROS:Softness - Do you know how, in old cartoons, characters would fall into a cloud and lay in it. This is what I imagine that feels like.Smoothness - This is one of the most pleasant blankets to the touch I've ever felt. I could wax lyrical about how good it feels, but you get the pictureWarmth - This is a great blanket for keeping warm on the couch during fall and winter. I'm sure it'll see less use in the summer, but that's to be expectedColor - It's called chocolate, and it doesn't disappoint. Although it might be more accurate to say chocolate Labrador, because that's what it reminds me ofCONS:I can't think of any beyond wanting more. I got the 50x60, and may well get the 90x90 as well. Maybe a different color, too.

I love this blanket. I like to read in a lot of different places in my house. Being from Canada where it gets quite cold in the winter I found that it is not only warm and soft, but that I’m able to carry it from one end of the house to the other with a book and some hot chocolate. I love this blanket

En la imagen me dio la impresión de se gruesa, pero en realidad es bastante ligera, no proporciona mucho calor, la suavidad es excelente, mide 1.5 mts. x 1.3 mts.

Would be five stars if it were not uneven along the edges a bit after a wash and dry. It sheds when you first get it so you need to wash it on delicate setting. I have a double bed and use a black blanket. This lays on top of it and almost covers just the top surface. It is a gorgeous purple and very soft. It reminds me of downy feathers.
