The New Moody Atlas of the Bible

The maps are fantastic. The information is extensive and meaningful. I'm very pleased with this book.

My husband and I are preparing for a trip to Israel and this book has great information and photos.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm very happy with this purchase. It has already proved helpful. It has a lot of detailed material Maps and photos do help you understand the Bible.

I bought this commentary for my granddaughter to use in her bible study. When I received it and read some of it, I decided to purchase one for myself as well. Very well written and easy to use.

I like this resource because it enhances my Bible studies. I can look at the maps and better visualize where and how these things were taking place. There’s also a lot of text that is a substantial study tool for history.

I am not sure what I expected, but not another "Bible" like book. It is extensive, the writing is small, but if you are looking to study Israel and the Bible together, as I did prior to a spiritual tour of Israel, it's handy.

Packed full of interesting information. The only negative is the print is so very small.

This is a great tool to have on hand for those who study the Bible more in depth. However, it would have been nice if Beitzel would have put more information into varying perspectives on history pertaining to the topics found in this book. Some of the maps become jumbled with multiple journeys of a certain Bible story, but overall this book is a really amazing way to really observe the history of the Bible.

Nice layout and great pictures. However, noticed place names in different locations on different pages. This casts doubt in my mind about the accuracy of the info. Is this a mistake? Are there two or more locations for the same place name? Or has the place moved over time. It’s hard enough piecing the bible together without extra doubt being added to my research. The writer of this book should find these mistakes and fix them or provide footnote explanations.

This is no simple map book or atlas. It's a very in-depth look at the geography and history surrounding the Bible stories. The maps are excellent and informative. the background information is detailed and can be quite daunting for those used to glossing over information. But if you enjoy reading and research, it will delight.From reading reviews, I believed I would be able to access map data and high resolution maps. I may have misunderstood. The code in the book allows you to download WORDsearch Bible Study software and the software includes the maps and photos from the book in low resolution images and PDFs (which can be located in your Public or All Users document folder). The sticker says version 9, but I downloaded version 10 and the code worked. The software is an excellent Bible study package worth $30 so I consider it a good deal all around even if I may not use it that much (I prefer another product).Addendum: The Android version of The New Moody Bible Atlas in WORDsearch Bible 10 needs work. It's only the maps and photos, no text, as far as I can tell. The book isn't properly formatted for reading on a tablet or phone. There's lots of white space between maps and images and their titles, and often the title is on one page and the photo or map is on another or the title is in the bottom half of a page and the map on the next page. I can't slide to move to the next page either. All this makes it very difficult to navigate. When I click on the "+" (Magnifier) on the map it doesn't enlarge and pinching/pulling doesn't work either, making it quite useless when viewing. I hope they'll fix this soon.
