We were hesitant at first because this thing looks like an owl! But, since it had one of the highest Consumer Report ratings among similar products and at a better price, we bought it and, when it arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The owl looks cute and ... the product works great. Been using it non-stop for over a month now without any issues. It works exactly as it should. It delivers a "cool mist" quietly and efficiently 24/7!The knob to regulate the amount of mist flow is a wonderful feature to have at this price. Want more mist? Turn it up. Want less? Turn it down. And, make sure you carry the reservoir using both hands (as per instructions) when it's full of water, not by the handle.BTW, some reviewers complain about "too much mist" and "white powder" residue and "water leaks." 1) The unit is adjustable. Turn it UP or DOWN to your liking. 2) The "white powder" has nothing to do with the unit. It's the WATER. Hard water or water with heavy mineral content will leave residue. Try filtered or distilled. 3) Leaks most often happen when tank is not properly set on the base. And, 4) Did I mention ... READ the INSTRUCTIONS?This IS A GREAT PRODUCT! We're very pleased with it!

My wife is 6 months pregnant, and out of blue she started getting nose bleeds almost every morning. I looked up in amazon for a humidifier that is simple yet functional and of course reasonably priced. After going through bunch of reviews I decided to go with this, and I'm glad I did. We have been using this since 2 weeks every night in our bedroom, it produces cool mist with a low hissing sound, we use it in its lowest setting and even that is enough. Thanks to this product, my wife doesn't have to breathe dry air in this cold winter anymore.The only reason why it misses a star is because of its looks:)

Figured at my age, what difference if the humidifier looks like an owl? It is top rated for ultrasonic cool mist models by Consumer Reports and that started me thinking about this cute guy.Have used it for three nights now. First time in ages that I am waking up without a stuffy nose, scratchy throat and hoarse voice. Only thing is that with the speed I've been running it, the water supply only lasts 6 hours until the red shut-off light comes on. Am very glad for the safety feature of auto shut off and red light indicator.It is important to drain/allow to dry daily and instruction book has weekly disinfection instruction using vinegar and water. Without a filter to worry about, weekly disinfection is an easy task for morning relief!

I bought the Owl Humidifier for my child's nursery a couple of weeks ago, and I am very happy with it. It is very easy to maintain and very quiet . It is smaller than previous humidifiers that I have had (currently sitting comfortably on a small 13 X 13 inch table) and very attractive. When it worked, it worked great ... but it never really worked for all that long ...The water basic kept cracking and leaking ... ended up returning it after getting many replacement parts and having them all fail as well.
