good as a framing hammer
I bought this for building a shed. The quality is good and the size fits well for a man. I have used it for a while to build the subfloor frame. It does the job well.

Quality long handled steel hammer.
Quality product with long nicely cushioned handle. Long claws which some other hammers don't have. Like another tool the packaging was severely brocken which meant I nearly didn't rececive it.

Not as well finished as old units.
This is my fifth Estwing hammer. The oldest being decades old. The old units performed well and is still in active duty. They had the brand logo moulded into the handle whereas the new units are merely printed on. The dimples are also rougher around the edges whereas the older units were very well finished. The steel itself is yet to be tested but if the old ones are anything to go by, it will outlast me.
