Earthbath Hypo-Allergenic Grooming Foam Waterless with Shea Butter for Cat & Kittens 4oz

I bought this because I have a chunky girl cat who isn't very good at cleaning herself, and she has double thick fur. I hate bathing her in the tub (and she's not real thrilled with it either) so I bought this based on a couple of friends recommendations. I'm sure on a cat with normal fur it would be fine, but when you have a double-coated kitty it's a disaster.It is slow to dry, and never brushed out all the way leaving a sticky residue on her fur I had to try to get off with a damp wash rag. I gave it another try thinking I'd just used too much the first time and got the same result.So we are back to bathing her in the tub which is not a lot of fun for either of us. Fortunately she's not afraid of water, she's just not a big fan.Using this on a double-coated cat is not recommended in my estimation as it leaves a coating on the fur that attracts and holds even more dirt/dust than just bathing them normally.

I ‘ve used this for a few years but this is my first purchase from Amozon; don’t understand why but this time, it left my Rag doll cat long fur kinda clumpy and sticky ! I have a method I’ve used in applying it by using it together with pet wipes.. I put the foam on one pet wipe , distribute it evenly on a second one (so they’re both damp), then quickly rub her down , making sure to end by rubbing her hair/fur backwards ( to get under neath) then brush in direction hair naturally lies... don’t let dry much and brush it dry in all directions with a slicker brush! Always worked beautifully before ,but not this time ! Tried towel dry but that was a mess: dried clumpy... if you need to towel dry , you’ve used to much product on the pet wipes ❣️I’m going to keep trying till I figure out WHY THIS ISN’t WORKING...did the formula change❓❓

I bought this because my male cat is not the best groomer. He lack of self care was annoying. This gets him clean and I can see a reduction of dander after using this on home. He does HATE being wet though. My boyfriends allergies with my kitty have seem to decrease quite a bit after using the product too.

The scent is very mild and it doesn't aggravate my allergies which is great. It comes out not thick but not then so like around medium ish like but it still workable I was able to do one of my larger cats and it worked fine. They were really soft after brushing it in and coming it out and the scent and cleanest lingered and people with some allergies to cats when they came over they didn't sneeze as bad then again I was able to get all of my cats cuz I got too many but it helped him out, the cat allergic friend.

my disabled kitty (similar to cerebellar hyperplasia) has mobility issues that tend to land him in his pee. Which is sad for everyone. He hates water, as in he freaks out and has seizures when I try to bath him. So the foam is a good alternative. It doesn't get him completely clean, but it helps a lot. And works great for minor mishaps. It's the best smelling one and works better than the others I tried, and doesn't bother my chemical sensitivity.
