The only time I can get it to sway is when I deliberately push hard enough to do so. But when typing and using it like a desk, it's completely stationary. The load capacity is listed at 320 lbs. The 80" table top weighs ~50lbs. My LG 43" 43UN700-B weighs ~40lbs. My 2 LG 32UN880-B weigh ~23lbs each. My total load is about 136lbs and probably a little bit more with computers and power adapters, which are hanging off the cable management trays [ ASIN B09Z3TW8LT ] clipped to the desk. **Q: Looking at this for a potential music desk. Thoughts about how it wouod handle a 40lb keyboard tray on the front?**
A: i've loved that this desk has been so heavy duty. As far as a 40lb tray, i'd say yes. Depending on what you use for a desktop. I used a 5'x3' butcher block and it was 1.5" thick. And it would easily handle a 40lb tray. As i also hung a dog kennel for a small 30lb dog on the left side of my desk and my 80lb server tower on the right under side of the desk.

**Q: What is a good way to mount the controller to the frame?**
A: You would mount the controller to the underneath surface of the top, not to the frame. The frame sits back from the top and you would want the controller out at the front edge of the top for easy access.

**Q: Anybody getting creaking sounds as the desk lifts up? Not sure if its from the motors or frame leg area**
A: Yes, after 5 months of use, using the motors like 6 to 8 times a day, mine got creaking sounds when the desk lifts. I will try some WD40 to see if it gets better.

So many standing desks to choose from. Very hard to choose just one brand, but based mostly on user reviews I went with this VWINDESK VJ205. No regrets at all. Very nice quality desk. The mechanics work perfectly and everything went together well. I also purchased their 80" x 30" bamboo desktop and it fit perfectly with the predrilled holes matching up perfectly with the frame. I'm 5'-8" and at a standing height comfortable for me (almost 40"h), the desk is very stable. Of course you can make it move, but if you're just standing and typing there's no movement at all. This is my first standing desk so I cannot compare the speed or noise level, but I'm very happy with both. Very smooth operation when raising/lowering and very quiet to me. I've included a few pictures, but please excuse the mess. I'm still configuring my setup. I've already installed some aftermarket drawers and some cable trays underneath. I do have much of the cabling hidden, but what you're seeing is for my guitar processor. Those will be hidden eventually. I feel for the price, I got a very well-made desk top and frame! Happy customer.
