can you turn the lights off completely off ?

For sure you can double tap either the remote or the speaker itself. it cycles thru modes. One is a slow to fast cycle of all the lights simultaneously. One is alternating slow and fast between top and bottom. the last turns them off.

Will this unit play local fm stations?

Yes it does. Not only do I get local stations, it picks up a station that's 60 miles away very clear.

Is there a way to turn the lights off?

This cool colorful light can be controlled (you can control the light switch by "double-click the pause button" or by remote control do it). You can enjoy the lights for home party, beach, camping or outdoor travel.

How do I puggled a speaker at the wall?

Saw a clown say this to you, ( What kind of question is that?.. this is no wall plug speaker but charge like a cell phone using usb cord.) its a very good question,Take care.
