I bought this along with a set of connectors (as I was using to fancy up a bar cabinet). Firstly, the lights are very bright (at 100%) but can be dimmed to your preferred level. I was worried about cutting the strip and being left with nothing working but it all worked perfectly. I had roughly 10 separate sections for differing parts of the unit and the connectors worked perfectly.
