2x2 was great but the 3x3 was disappointing
The 2x2 performs really well, the turning is quite smooth and really easy to turn, it has great corner-cutting and I'm yet to have any issues with it. It's a little bigger than a regular 2x2 and is not too hard to solve either if you know how to solve a normal 2x2.However, I was a bit disappointed by the 3x3. It's very stiff which can make it really hard to align the pieces in order to turn since it effectively can't cut corners at all (for reference these are my first mirror cubes so I'm not sure if these issues are a result of this specific brand or if all mirror 3x3's are like this). The puzzle itself aside from the technical issues was quite fun to solve, a little harder than the 2x2 but still more than doable if you can solve a regular 3x3.The appearance of the cubes is quite nice but the mirrored stickers have a few bumps and air bubbles in them and the faint lines you can see in the mirrors are quite helpful for letting you know if any of the pieces are misorientated.Overall really fun puzzles and I'd thoroughly recommend the 2x2 but the 3x3 was quite poor despite being fun to solve too.

Decorative and fun
I bought these as a Valentine's gift for my husband, who is very into futuristic design and I just thought he might find them aesthetically enjoyable. He loves them, though he's never bothered to solve either; he just undid them sufficiently that they looked geometrically cool, and then popped them on a shelf as display items. They make great conversation pieces, and all for the price of a toy. ;-)

I mean these things are crazy weird.
My son wanted to buy this with his own money. He seems to be a cube king. We got this and he took one look at it and solved it in 2 seconds. I for the life of me have no dang idea how let alone what the heck I was looking at as it all looked the same to me. This child is a mad genius ... but wastes money for sure as I mean it just sits and collects dust while I bought a 5x5 6x6 7x7 8x8 9x9 all the weird ones the doohickies. I mean he just BAM!!!solves them. I think my son is a evil genius from the milkman planted in my life to make me look dumb. Lol.. seriously I feel it when I grew up just taking the stickers off and solving the dang things that way. WHOS SMART NOW!!! MUAHAHAHA crud, I really need to get in gear and not care to deal with these devil cubes.. but somehow I feel drawn to the fact he loves them so much I have to enjoy that.. so.. yes I mean if you have kids that like to push themselves and feel acomplished.. buy this. It is in China words so all directions and such you can't read unless you are or have taken Chinese as a foreign language. Bit if your kiddo is a smart cookie.. as they have to be to get this crazy contraption .. they can YouTube to get help. But if they are mad evil geniuses then directions are for woman only <-- that's me I am woman .. enjoy this odd box.. I use it to put on my make up .. so it worked out for the whole family.

good quality, fun puzzle, good price
i got the 2 pack of the mirror puzzles (2x2 and 3x3), the 2x2 is the smaller easier version that helps give you an idea of how to handle the puzzle before moving on to the 3x3, im still trying to figure out the 2x2.- the quality of the puzzle i feel is good, especially for the price and it being a 2fer. its very light weight, moves smoothly and does not get tight or clunky. im sure you could lubricate it if you want to but it feels lubricated and smooth right out of the box...- im not sure if the pieces can be re-attached if any pop off (this tends to be a feature with most decent quality rubiks cubes. i did notice you can see and access the internal screws if you gently push apart some of the cubes in the right spot, this tend's to allow you to tighten or ease the tension of the "spin" on rubiks cubes, so i would assume it is an option but not sure- a POSITIVE being the puzzle is very light and smooth , but a possible NEG is being it's so light, that im gonna guess if you go too fast with it or are too rough with it, that you could easily pop a piece off or break it (if its not able to be reattached.), EVEN THOUGH IT'S VERY SMOOTH AND MOVES FAST, IT IS NOT A SPEED CUBE, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE IT'S ALLIGNED PROPERLY BEFORE TURNING. SMALL KIDS MAY BREAK THIS EASILY.- upon reading reviews OFF of amazon, i've read that the brand SHENGSHOU is a well known and decent to good quality company when it comes to rubik cube type puzzles. there are alot of diff brands on amazon of these mirror cubes, i made sure i specifically looked for and ordered a SHENGSHOU brand product, based on what i've read and the product i received i would recommend you may want to do the same .- THERE ARE PLENTY OF WEBSITES DEDICATED TO RUBIK CUBES AND "SHAPE MODIFIED CUBES" INCASE YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT BRANDS AND TYPES YOURSELF.

Great Value and Great for speed cubing!
I have been a speedcuber for quite a few years now and have a vast collection of cubes. (For reference I average about 12 seconds a solve on the regular 3x3x3.) Personally, I have never been a fan of Shengshou, however, these two cubes are the exception. They were priced very reasonably and much better then I expected. The 2x2 came out of the box well lubed and turning very well. I was extremely happy with its performance. The 3x3 came out stiff and very dry. After loosening the tensions and putting some GAN lube inside it worked great and I was happy with its performance. The only potential downside to these cubes is the corner-cutting on the 3x3. The 2x2 corner cuts really well(probably the best I have seen for a mirror cube) but the 3x3 does not cut corners well at all. This is fairly typical for a mirror cube though so not a huge nock against it. The stands look nice as well. Overal, I would definitely recommend.
